Thanks for that mate.
So what's the opinion - is it just pot luck whether or not I get another n80 with/without the screen problem or would you be inclined to dump it and get another model, and if so, which one?
Cheers

Its not a major problem and only a few cases have been reported so you should be ok with another phone, the N80 is still a very good phone
I think I would be inclined to wait for the N95 (I will replace my n80 with N95 if I can get a good deal), but there is no release date yet, so the choice is yours ...
Just my bloody luck to be one who gets a problem only a few others have had!!
I don't think the n95 is out till at least March(ish), so under the shops' 28 day handset return rule I'd be out of luck if I wanted to wait until then as I got it 31/01/07. The only way I can see of getting around that is to take it back completely as I'm within 7 days of my original purchase and cancel completely then look again in March - bit of a pain but might be worth it.
Anyone got any other handset suggestions or opinions on this one?
Cheers

I had the screen problem also, but get it fixed at a nokia service center and all has been good ever since.
No mate I won't do that it's supposed to be brand new and they've ordered me another one which is coming into the shop tomorrow. So if that one is also faulty for any reason I've got a real dilemna on my hands.
I really like certain aspects of this phone such as the high quality screen (when it's not tearing lol) and all the goodies symbian brings, as well as the wifi aspect - very handy, so I'd be loathe to leave that sort of thing behind having had it and a taster of the wifi, hence my probably wanting to stay with nseries.
Do I take a n93 which are now a lot cheaper (possibly free) with the imminent release of the n93i, or is there another alternative you lot can suggest?
Cheers

So then back to calendar apps which will allow me to specify font colours etc.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a good one?

BHLC wrote:oh - now that IS interesting. I'd read a bit about it, and thought you had to use Phoenix. Plus I'm sure I'd seen other people ask if you could use NSU to be told "no, otherwise we'd all be doing it that way"..
is this a new way of doing it, or have I missed something?
yeah, that comment was mine... from the time before NSS and NSU!! Ahhhh them bad old days!! 😎
Well remembered/searched tho! LOL
