Nice review!
Been playing this game for 2 weeks now on my E61. It is very nice but I also noticed the same irritable bugs:
No way to mute the sound
Little hard inverntory controls
And I had 2 crashes of the game. It frooze suddenly.
Luckily the support of Teatradge is on it so this will probably be solved! :icon14:
I used to play quite a lot of these games on my K-Jam (and other Windows Mobile phones). Like Gilbert Goodmate f.e. Also a very fun game!

I had no crashes at all on my E61. Were you running any other applications in the background (anti-virus or anything else)?

There are some flaws that need fixing as I mentioned in the review, but I think the inventory is still pretty good for a phone game.
It's far better on a phone than the SCUMM inventory system which was designed for a mouse, as the RTMI inventory automatically highlights one object or another instead of using a pointer.
These kinds of games are always better with a mouse or touchscreen, but I think Tetraedge have gotten the general game interface about as good as it can get for a non-touchscreen phone. It's very easy to explore the game world, much easier than on SCUMM where you have to keep using the pointer. The game still needs a map though, it's too confusing in the middle of the jungle.
Tetraedge said they have a UIQ3 version in the works, so that should be even better to use.
Hi Krisse,
I had plenty of phonememory when running the game but I did run some other apps. like Profimail. Some mail did come in when playing but this normaly didn't crash the game. I didn't crash it this time either but it just frooze at one time when doing an action in the game.
Teatredge asked me to sent this saved game so I see what they come up with.
Do you know by any change were to find the saved games?
About the inventory. I suggested Teatredge to have some shortcuts assigned to some numberkeys on the phone so if you select an item you can quickly assigned it to you 'hand' by pressing f.e. the number 1. This would speed it up a bit! 😊

HI Krisse,
Will this game not run at all on an E70 - or does it just not fit the screen properly ?
"Will this game not run at all on an E70 - or does it just not fit the screen properly ?"
From what I've heard from E70 users, you can install it but the game is completely unplayable due to the screen incompatibility. Try the demo if you want to find out for yourself.
It will only run properly on QVGA models, both vertical (for example the N73) and horizontal (for example the E61).
It used to only run on vertical QVGA , but they recently added a horizontal QVGA version to the download package. Anyone with an E61 who had problems before should try it again.
Glad to know there will be a uiq3 version of this, it will be perfect

Email them if you want to find out more. I'm not 100% sure it will happen, but it was definitely being planned.
Hi guys,
N73 and E61 users will be happy to know that we will soon release a patch to control the sound volume 😊
It will be available from our website quite soon.
For UIQ3 users, we are currently finalizing a version. Those who are interested in testing a demo can send an email to supportATtetraedge.com
requesting it.
Thanks.
Vincent.
Tetraedge team.
Just for everybody with a E61 and who installed this pad:
Can you still run the game and can you load saved games other then the two at the most left?
For me the game exits when I try to load a game or start a new one. And I can only select the two saved games a the most left part of the screen. I just can't get the cursor to the others....:frown:
So anybody, please test this.

"Can you still run the game and can you load saved games other then the two at the most left?"
It seems to work for me.
But as I said in the review, there's not much point using the other slots because they're not datestamped, so it's impossible to remember which one is the most recent anyway.
Hi Krisse,
By now I got a new patch to try and it is working on my E61. I can now play the game again! 😊
I believe they will release this patch soon.
I know about those slots but it is not a problem for me. I just start playing from the last slot I filled (and I remember which one that was). But a time stamp would be nice.

Ok, here I am again. Still playing Return to mysterious island.
Tetraedge told me that the game on the Nokia 61 is a little bit different from the game on the PC. That's why my walkthrough didn't work.... 🙄
Still I got more or less stuck in the game so for whoever is playing this game, please help me out! :con? The problem is:
I'm at the point of curing the monkey. To get water I need pottery. I made them but can't bake them. I need seal skin. I went back to the beach and found (what a supprise! ) a dead seal! Now I want to go back up to the inland but I can't get past the part were you have to be strong enough to get in the inland. I tried to eat as much as possible and the health bar of the monkey (...) filled up almost completely but I'm realy out of food (I found more craps and coconuts and ate all the eggs I had left). But I can't get back to the inland! Any tips?? :con?
