Y-Browser, possibly the best third party file manager and general utility for S60 3rd Edition smartphones, has been officially updated. Version 0.8 includes an overhauled interface, working ZIP archive support and an extra icon pack, plus the usual mail folder and text/file viewer plug-ins. Free and highly recommended.

Got it working great on my N73,there are some updates compared to the earlier v0.77 version, new icon, one of the new options is "switch layout" which switches the screen from portrait to landscape view.
There are only 2 downsides to this great app imo.1st being that there is no "restart/reboot" function, for that feature you have to use FExplorer beta.
The 2nd downside is that the app cannot send "protected files" like eg,send a app or game to a mate, but LCG X-plore does have this feature.

It's still very ugly, especially the icons, the extra icon packs are useless, too. I don't know why can't simply the system's folder icons be used.

Regarding to both 'restart/reboot' function and access to protected files, the application needs a 'System capability' for those (PowerMgt and AllFiles, me thinks), and therefore it needs to be 'Symbian Signed', which is a bit tedious process.

Getting an app Symbian Signed is not necessarily that tedious, and in any case that's not the point with the AllFiles capability (privilege) at all.

Getting AllFiles requires explicit approval from the device manufacturer (= Nokia), and Nokia is not giving or going to give AllFiles to any file browser/explorer (free or commercial).
