Has anyone else bought an E65? I picked one up yesterday, I'm quite impressed with it so far.
Is anyone planning on buying one?

I play a little time with one... and agree, the size and the assist slide mechanism is just great.
It really is a nice little phone. I've always been a fan of the NSeries phones, but this E65 is the nuts. It's well designed, features and functions work well. I have a little gripe about the pencil key being tagged on to the side of the phone, I don't like that, makes it awkward to use. But overall this is a cracking little phone.
How much free ram does the e65 have after a cold boot? I am thinking of trading my n73.
Yoz,
Just bought e E65 2 days ago. Really like it shape and size. Jus nice and slim. Going to explore its functions...I guess it should be like my previous n80. Btw, anyone know if E65 is compatible with the nokia bluetoth GPS?
Thanx.
Jonus
Yes is compatible, with Nokia and others.
I'd be inerested in the E65, saw it on the O2 website, and thought it looked very nice.
Currently got a 6680, which I think is a great phone. Run TomTom on it ( it runs perfectly ) and also a couple of other Symbian applications, so in some respect, a bit hesitant to give it up!
The only two phones I'd think about giving it up for , are the E65 or the N95.
Have read a bit of a review on the N95 - anyone review the E65?
cheers

Got this puppy yesterday and she is soooo sexy out of the box. Performance wise she is also packed....Love it so far. Got everything up and running within hours...:icon14:
hmmm i'm in the same boat.
i have a Black Nokia N80ie and looking at possible upgrade/downgrade to the E65. i like the smaller form factor and the new slide.
2MP camera is fine, my N80 camera isn't that good anyways (shutter lag)
so, any real world comparisson between the two? how about speed? (N80ie is dog slow)
Can anybody plz tell whether the messages in E65 are stored in the memory card or not...If it stores in phone memory then this means that its capacity to store the msgs is limited ....anybody who has the handset plz tell..
You can switch the memory in use on the memory card, like on any other S60.
In my opinion, if your not fussed about the built in gps and the 5mp cam on the n95, for gods sake don't get one. It's the most disappointing phone nokia have ever made. It's unreliable and frustrating to use, so far any attempt by nokia to remedy software glitches has done nothing but introduce new ones. Mine has been shelved until they get it right.
In the meantime, however i managed to get my wife to part with her e65 so i could use it and i was pleasantly suprised with how good it is. It just works, and that's it. There are small niggles, but for a 1st release software version it's pretty good. The cam is sufficient but has a green hue to it which needs sorting, and the hardware buttons sometimes stop working which a reboot sorts out. (it seems to be affected by swapping profiles i've noticed btw).
The e65 is the winner for me.
