... I'm now thinking what should I do when I upgrade from my N80 mobile...
All the rage is about the N95 which I must admit looks smart but is it what I really need???
I'm now in limbo, I used a lot of Symbian OS applications, MSN, Sky by Mobile, played games, listened to music... I used the Wifi to sync email and surf whilst at home. Bluetooth to send/receive files from mates/pc.
I'm now in debate whether to go for the N95 (don't think I'll make much use out of the GPS) or go for the E65 which I held yesterday and thought hey, this is a nice phone.
I loved the screen resolution on the N80 but the N95 and E65 aren't as good but the new phones have a better colour depth (does this mean they'll be just a good a screens?)
I surfed the web quite a lot on my N80; The N95 has Feature Pack 1 on it; does this make a big difference?
Any advice from you other S60 guys would be great....
You could wait for the N80 replacement.
The N95 is better in every way save for screen. If you surf alot and need the screen then best wait presume. You could consider Iphone even since that is widescreen as well :P
The E65 has the same screen resolution as the N95... I'm not bothered about the GPS... I'm just trying to think of the pro's and con's of getting either phone... And I'm not going to get Iphone....
Is price a factor in your decision? Because the N95 is going to be expensive.

I know the N95 is going to be expensive... but cost doesn't both me...
For the time being I don't think we're going to see anything with the N80's screen res or better. The N95 has the new "standard" screen res and this is likely to be what we get for quite a while.
I think my next Nokia may be an E61 or derivative... which is odd because I really hate Blackberries...
I know this is a radical option but why change? If the N80 does everything you want. You have gone through all teh pain of finding all the software etc that you use whats the point of changing till something that is clearly 'better' comes out? To me the N80 was a big jump in terms of the superb screen and the added Wifi. The ability to run TomTom and the quality of the games (especially Digital Chocolates range!) mean my PDA was resigned to eBay. The thing that would make me change would need to have all the good features of the N80 I just mentioned and a quality camera. The camera is about the only thing on it that I find disappointing. It was brought out to be a headline (3MP) but I'd rather have a 1.3 that can take shots of my daughter without them being blurred cause she moved slightly(I'mnot even talking about her running around here.)

:call2: ______________________ :call: I agree.
Get a sim card and use that in the mean time. N80 successor should be next in the line of announcements.
I would wait for something better to come out. The n95 is impressive but isnt clearly better then the n80. Im waiting for a phone that has a camera of the n93, the dvhb-h of n92 and 77, the screen and gps of n95. Now that would be a good phone:tongue:
Why not try the E90 ? Release 2th quarter of 2007. 😊

Its is much better than a N80. For a start it is using the ARM11 processor (instead of the ARM9 in the N80) running at a much higher clock speed. Its pretty much one of the first phones in europe to use the ARM11. Of course there will be many more.
Playing with it in feburary, its clear that its faster and the GUI is so much more usable at the faster speed.
