Afaik Super Mario Kart is a GBA-game, but this is a GB/GBC-emulator, GBA's predecessors.

the actual filesize is 64K, installation space required is 147K. fine.

but memory required for playing...1200K?

that'll be including the average size of a rom

over 2 meg free memory

and the only rom i can get to load without the "memory full" error is a 32kb PD rom of boulderdash evil

not overall impressed, makes me wonder how they got grand theft auto as a screenshot on the wildpalm website (Grand_Theft_Auto_(U)_[C][!].zip - 1274 Kb - uncompressed rom - 4 megs)

still...thats not wildpalms fault ! as more emulators appear, the more frustrated i will get at the lack of memory on this otherwise superb phone

every game i try and get to load is only a blank brown screen.....has anyone tried loads of games with this and had any luck.

the worst part is....i need to reinstall all my apps back onto the phone coz i took them all off to get space evil

I managed to get the old black and white Mario and Donkey Kong games to run, trouble is they only showed the character sprites with funny lines going vertically across the screen!
In future updates they'll probably fix this bug, as well as add sound!

Followed instructions to load the sis file okay and transferred a rom into the inbox but what's next ? Try to open the rom but get a "not recognised format" message .... Help

Run the GBC/GB roms straight from a Zipped file if you install Zip man and the patch.

GTA2 works out at 650kb instead of over 2MB

but im sure the app just unzips and loads into memory, or else how could the app use the rom?

I'm getting the error message, 'Unknown ROM size F9, Console Closed - Press any key'

I've had it working on my PC using 'Visual Boy' but I can't get it working on my 7650, I've got plenty of room left.

I can't be bothered with it, until they get it working properly.

im playing SUPER MARIO deluxe right now and not having any problems.. just follow the instruction then ur going to be ok.. recommend you ti install zipman first.. woohoo!

Anyone have any ideas why this isn't working for me?

I open the mail, go into attachments, open the ROM which then takes me into Zipman, Open file from the menu in Zipman, which then takes my into the emulator, and ROM Loaded appears on the screen.

Press play or Joystick down and I get the error above, anyone else having a simlar problem?, perhaps it is a problem with the ROM, but it's a GBC file and it works fine on my PC :-?

On the WildPalm site it says it works with _most_ Roms.
Maybe with that one it wont. :?

i did exactly whats asked to do on the read me notice and it works like a charm .... GoBoy is a port of the GnuBoy Gameboy Emulator to the Nokia 7650.
v1.0 is based upon the sources from GnuBoy v1.0.3, available from http://gnuboy.unix-fu.org/

To install GoBoy, install the GoBoy7650_10.sis file to the phone.
To start the emulator, copy a gameboy rom file with .gb or .gbc filename extention to the phone,
and open it from the Inbox.

Use of this emulator to run illegal gameboy roms is not permitted. GoBoy 7650 is distributed for use
only with public domain Gameboy images.

WildPalm does not distribute Gameboy roms of any kind and requests for roms will be ignored.
Public domain rom files for use with this emulator can be found at www.pdroms.de

GoBoy 7650 currently does not support the following:
Sound support
2-player Link support
Battery support
Save games

GoBoy ZipMan Plugin

If ZipMan v1.2 or above is installed on your phone, the GoBoy ZipMan plugin should be installed.
This will permit Gameboy roms to be sent or added to zip files, and allows zipped rom files to be opened
directly without the need to extract the file.

The GoBoy ZipMan Plugin can be installed by installing the GoBoy_Zip_Plugin7650_10.sis file to the phone.

jeezo guys....if u cant find gameboy color roms.....u arent very l33t. after searching for 5 mins i found 1.2 gig of them.........and no, i wont respond to any PM's asking where u can find them.

http//my7650.emuforce.net/ posted a nice fix for getting the games to work fine. to cut a long story short, use the zip man plug in to open file. then go boy opens.

quit out of it. close zipman, close messaging etc......go into goboy from the ico and hit play game and it loads fine. I went from not one rom loading to most games loading......(still cant get GTA to work................gives me an unknow rom size error......GTa1 and GTA2)

having a lot of fun with this emu now......even the big games dont need a lot of memory to play correctly

roll on version 1.2 (new version 1.1 on wildpalms website now chaps)

and roll on frodo !

AS Soon as the save function is sorted out in the next version we can easly declare that the 7650 is the ultimate phone.
