i cant seem to download it from the site given on the thread. how come.
coz your obviously completely insane !
or a n00b
here is the page....go forth and read ! http//www.wildpalm.co.uk/GoBoy7650.html
if you spent more time clicking/reading the webpage than replying to every single post in this forum with a useless non constructive answer (obviously post boosting) then you would be goboy l33t by now
in case you are still stuck, here is a direct link to the file http//www.wildpalm.co.uk/GoBoy/GoBoy7650_11.zip
i do not condone direct linking to other peoples files, so i insist that anyone who clicks this, visits the page first.
sorry if this post is cheeky.....welll....actually im not sorry, im just a grumpy scottish b*stard. I should put that in my signature

 😃 nice outburst 😃 😃
this emulator is the nuts. yes it has a few faults (no sound, heavy dependency on zipman) but so what. Wildpalm have done the impossible and turned the 7650 into a gameboy. well done Wildpalm and thanks for your development on the Series 60 phones.
the Goboy is a great idea that im sure will make it big...ON THE 3650!!!
i have to say, i had to get rid of all my java apps, symbian apps, images, and messages. at the end of it all the only decent game i could fit and play without errors was Driver for GBC (of which i own on a catridge).
its nothing against the program, i just think its implemented for the wrong handset and unless that MMC Battery, Bluetooth HardDrive or MMC Jacket are actually make it through....then i can only see this making some impact on the 3650.
imagine storing the roms on MMC.
well, it would have been great on my 7650 but i guess it wasnt meant to be.....or maybe its just my problem.
Doom on the 7650 was really big also, but it was cool, really cool 😃
the problem was that you had to take out almost everything on your phone, in order for it to work!
But i think it's really nice to see those cool apps and that they made big progress on the symbian platform! And that this is encouraging others to get up and write apps!! 😃

thats cool....but i really think the hardware folks should GET UP aswell and assist this cool apps.
nokia have all but abandonned the 7650 and i dont see many (if any) third party hardware. if this was the 3650, there would be companies clamering to get thier foot in...and why.....cos' it a youth phone for those young hip n' happening folks that just love to spend spend spend.
one just has to look at the succes of the 3210,3310,3330...etc
oh, well...i guess us gadgetiers dont do much for them.
please...correct me if im off base here 😃 😃
I think you are right. We definitely need third party hardware products.
What about the roumord BT MMC Battery, that woud've been awesome or a bluetooth headset that would work with the 7650.
where can i find good games for the goboy, someone post a link please 😉

Well there's a barcode scanner for the 7650! 😃 you could finally compete against your neighboring super market!! 😃
Has anyone managed to get GTA working? The game is 4mb unzipped (1.4mb zipped). I have 2.4mb free on the phone but it still says "Memory Full" after I send the game to the phone via bluetooth? The goboy site @ wildpalm show GTA working so it must be possible somehow?

yes it is very possible...go here http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6056 and follow the excellent instructions and you DEFINATELY have to install Zipman V1.2 and then do the rest as he says.
but i cant undersatnd you GTA being 1.4mb zipped cos' my GTA2 rom is 681kb zipped and 2mb unzipped. you sure you didnt dowload a GBA rom cos' they can be larger and GoBoy doesnt run GBA roms.
but just follow the instructions carefully and you will be ok.

Thanks for that. Now I've managed to get the rom (yes it really is 1.4mb and it's definately gameboy colour not advance) on the phone but I get "Unknown ROM size" when I try to play it. Ah well, I guess I'll have to try GTA2.
Has anyone got gta2 to work?
nope
with both gta and gta2
i get the unknown rom header error
nope, its not the gba version, dont treat me like a n00b................i downloaded several gbx emulators and they all play the zip file quite happily. there are several of them. in fact, all the 4meg unzipped roms i have tried give me this error...............maybe solved in the next version
props again to d[J] for posting the news about how to get this emu working properly on his page....thanks man
props to wildpalm for releaseing this, their second kick ass nokia 7650 game that is free.........thanks guys
mario tennis and mario golf is a lot of fun. as soon as the save is implemented iwill hammer the zelda and final fantasy games.
sweet
*edit* just discovered spy hunter rom........lol

Well I still can't get it to work 😞
Same "Unknown ROM size F9" error. And I can't get any files from the site you said, they link to an FTP site where the files aren't on the server. That is, if we are talking about the same site.

i'll have to take the plunge, here http://www.nowhere 😃 in 😃 paticular.net/download/index.php....mods are gonna kill me now :-?
JyriK edit: nope, you are forgiven 😃
i also suggest you uninstall and re-install Zipman and GoBoy, start afresh. maybe that will work
That's the site I went to but the links all appear dead 😞
Maybe it's cos I'm using IE as an FTP browser? :-?

just tested the site...they may have a server problem...just try later
Ok, managed to download them using CuteFTP...reinstalled Goboy, still same message 😞 😞 😞 😞 😞
by the way guys
when u have finished playing with gameboy stuff
use seleQ (or whatever) to go into your c\system\apps\zipman\temp directory
here u will find an unzipped version of the last rom u played
delete it and go on with life as normal
i wondered where that meg of memory had gone \
If you people get an "Unknown ROM size F9" error after following the instructions I posted on http://my7650.emuforce.net, most times this error can be fixed just shutting down and restarting the phone. Now launch the emulator (don't worry the rom you loaded before the restart of the phone will be still there!) and it should work (but if the rom is *really* big like Donkey Kong Country for example, I think there's not much you can do other than having the phone completly empty...). Hope this helps!
