I am very interested in finding out whether it is possible to use my 7650 in the US! I know that it is not possible to use the phonepart due to the fact that it is not tri-band! But what about all the other features????
I am going there in a month and would really like to be able to take some pictures and transfer them to my notebook!!!
It should work there without any problems.
Do you know how it reacts to the fact that it does not recognize any network. Will all features of the phone work - off course except for all involving the phone (sms, mms etc.)
If I am able to use my calendar too - It would be great!!!

It will react exactly as if it is unable to find a signal. Just like when you are in a tunnel or in the underground/subway.

I've just got back from the US (yesterday in fact) and the 7650 (& almost any other handset) will work as it normaly would if you ventured into an area with no signal reception.

im sorry....no offence inttended....but, if you are only gonna be taking pictures with it, why dont you save the hassle and use a digital camera that would provide better pictures and easier transfer. sounds good to me 😃
but i understand if you find it easier to use the phone, you may not want to spend on (or cant afford) an extra digi-cam or even you may want to impress the yanks 😃 😃
