Same here. I don't condone pirated software, and as such am rather upset that I can get a cracked version of TT for my N95 that works with the internal GPS but the version I bought will not!!!!

I have the N95 8 Gig and have Tom tom working fine on the phone, however has anyone managed to get it to work in landscape mode on the screen?

You shouldnt have it in landscape mode anyway
This is because the GPS antennae for N95's are at the bottom below the keypad (the thin strip below the *0# buttons).
If you cover it up, then there is less reception and will not work well.
If you use a screen-rotation application, you can rotate your screen with the keypad open, though.
I'm not sure if the different angle of the antenna would make a difference in this situation - I seem to get a reasonable GPS lock with my phone closed in my pocket with SportsTracker (well, as reasonable as with it open, held in front of me).

That's really interesting but I thought the whole point of forums is to share your successes with others less fortunate than yourself who are relying on the kindness of other forum members to help solve problems like these. I don't understand the thinking behind simply letting us know that what we are struggling with works for you (but you're not going to tell us about how you got it working)
What's that about? Sounds really smug but not at all helpful to anyone
Hi all first post here. Just to say i use the hacked version of tomtom 6.020 on my N95 8gb so i can use the internal gps of the phone. not that i condone this but needs must ! If by any chance any of you have this hacked tomtom version on your phone you will need an application called GPSD installed on your phone to use the internal gps. this app sends out a bluetooth gps signal from the handset that the tomtom installed on the handset picks up. As for the landscape question i use mine in landscape but you have to put your phone in this mode before opening the aplication otherwise it screws the screen up and you have to exit the tomtom app.
And talking about hacked versions on AAS is not allowed.
Apologies for those who want it working, but you can find details elsewhere on the web.
