N95 image and video quality

Can't compare it to a 93/93i as I never had one of those but I'm happy with it and find it better than my N80, especially indoors.

The video soundtrack isn't as good as the N93 (its mono, N93 is stereo). N93i is mono too.

The camera is hard to call, but I'd go with the N95 (just) because the extra megapixels make cropping a better proposition...

The N93 is easier to take videos with becuse of the form factor.

The picture quality is leagues above that of the N80. It's very clear and there's a lot less digital artefact's. Not given the video a proper run. Got a party this weekend though which will give me a chance to play properly.

Can owners on the N95 please post videos taken by the N95.

See the AAS review about N95 - with several videos!

I could only find about 2 that are taken with the n95. Thats why i requested if the owners of an N95 could post vids taken with the n95 in different conditions. Also indoors if possible because i want to see the quality inside when not too bright.

Owning both devices, picture wise the N95 is better as it produces pictures with less noise & more detail.

Video is about the same, though you do miss the optical zoom & the sound isn't as good on the N95.

Overall I would go for the N95.

Hello mate, how weird....was looking through this sight after taking my new n95 for a test run down my local beach yesterday.....when i looked at the pictures you posted i thought at first they were mine!!!

I took some snaps down broadstairs beach on saturday afternoon....

not sure about the picture quality if i am honest though. was expecting a big difference over my old k800i......

also, some of my pictures appear to be affected by blurring....usually down the right hand side...disappointed to be honest.

haha - weird - i've not noticed any blurring - sun cream on yer lense?

i think its fair to say that phone cams are about upto the level of mid range digital cams of 2 years ago - which is what i did the test with. which is pretty good really.

but still not a patch on decent modern digital camera

sun cream?!?!? it werent that warm!!!

do u reckon orange will take the phone back and replace it if i tell them that i am not happy with the camera??

well they should theres no blurring on my camera images - so something is wrong
either the lense or the sensor chip

I wanted to know if new firmwire can fix the problem for the sound while recording videos because it is quite bad and also how long do u reakon it will be till they release a new fireware?

well i finally got the phone today on t mobile one little niggle, when you send a video via mms you have to have the settings low as the video is too big,but the quality is rubbish. if i go up a setting for video email the quality is better but the file is too big to send am i missing something, also do you have to manually open the camera shutter at the back as it said in the book press a button to activate it but you still have to open it yourself, so far imm not overally impressed perhaps i might be when i get going at the moment just setting it up how i want it

Can someone post a video to show how long it takes for the camera to load up?

I have quite a noisy clock in my computer room so did a little test just now. Between 5 and 7 seconds seems average from picking up the phone whilst locked and moving the camera slider around the back to the viewfinder on the screen becoming visable.

I'm very happy with it. Had a N80 before which the N95 beats hands down. Played with the N93i and I prefer the N95 for images.

Can someone post a video made inside with the n95.

Also in dark conditions because ive heard the flash isnt very good? Does that mean that u cant take good pictures where theres not much light.

How does the flash compare to the n70?

in my oppinion the flash works perfect.this picture was taken at 10pm with a small night light on,using the flash...

Thanks for your reply. The picture quality is great and so is the video quality. My concern is the video sound quality and you can hear a hissing sound. I wanted to know if it can be fixed with a fireware upgrade and how long do you think till the new fireware is released. Also how would you compare the flash with the n70?
