In this in-depth editorial feature Krisse asks whether non-portable game systems are doomed? Home consoles and home computers have played such a big part in the history of gaming, it seems inconceivable that they would ever disappear. But is gaming about to become 100% mobile?

I like the article...but i´m puzzled about why he didn´t mention the rumor of a possible Sony Ericsson PSP-phone, in such subject...

Has usual with krisse, is allaboutnokia

He probably didn't mention it for that very reason, ie. it's just a rumour...

And I would hardly accuse this article of being biassed towards Nokia!

in an article about mobile gaming and mobile phones its an obvious miss, rumor or not, knowing what Sony is on gaming, and how Sony Ericsson is using most of Sonys brands (cibershot, walkman, bravia in japan, etc)

thats my point

The arguement given is well directed but lacks the realization of real facts. The writer has failed to notice how many console owners also own a ds, its not that they have sacrificed their ps2/xbox for a ds.. It just shows that they are also interested in gaming a casual way. Writer should realize the fact that 90% of gaming industry is driven by what we call 'gamers' who thrive on something like-god of war; to think that mobile gaming would appeal to them would just be wishful thinking. Handheld gaming is a variant not the future.
