Since a lot of you peeps keep bitching about the N7650 not having bluetooth audio support..... you can either go upgrade your firmware (I think) and end up buying a bluetooth headset anyways.....
OR
You can wait for my mate to complete his development of a universal bluetooth headset. That's right... Universal!!! Which means you can even use it on phones without bluetooth. It will just plug into the jack of the phone and transmit bluetooth via the module. So even if you're unfortunate enough to still have the 5110  you can use bluetooth with it.
He's a week away from realeasing it onto the consumer market and I'm beta testing it right now. Works like a charm. I'll keep you posted and will advise of unit price. 😊
You can already buy these on ebay. I had one on my 8850 early last year. It wasnt bluetooth as we know it now but a very similar technology.

There may have been a similiar device around but not 10m bluetotth as we know it 😃
Plus this is universal 8)
Hope that it's willn't be too expensive
If my memory serves me right, this device has been roumord long time ago.
Lets see what will come of it.

I phoned them and they said stock should be available from early Jan or Feb, and that it works on any phone..couldn't give me a price yet.
Will see what I can find out once it is available.
Chaos

The M1500 will be available in early summer and will be priced in the region of 216 euro (excluding VAT). 😮 😮 😮
My mates unit will be estimated around $120 - $150 AUD (don't know how much that is in Euro) and the m1500 still doesn't say anything about it being truly "universial". With this unit, it comes with multiple detachable connector pins. So you'll be able to use most major brand phones with it.. Nokia, SonyEricsson, Motorola, Seimens etc.
Hmmm.. Nice idea! That means you can give any device bluetooth functionality!! Cool 😃

😃 not quite. All the module does is allow for voice communication. If you start getting into the data side of it, you'd have to add bluetooth feature to your phone if it doesn't have already.
Oh 😞
Well can that be done? Just like adding voice bluetooth, adding data bluetooth for some devices? I know that bluetooth is a must in any high end mobile phone, but some new ones still don't have it 😞
so is it actually using bluetooth protocol?
or is it just a radio transmitter
wanting to know for interference purposes
My quetion exactly. From what i can figure,i dont think its using bluetooth.
I'm guessing from what MR-6T9R said about a module transmitting bluetooth, it will be similar to the M1500 where one end plugs into the phone and has a module on the other end transmitting audio data using bluetooth to the headset. It will be the work of the module to do the conversion and transmission to the headset.
All we can do is wait and see or get a confirmation from the tester himself 😃
Does it mean that we have to carry the module together with the phoneset around?
That's a little stupid right? 😮
off topic: MR-6T9R, any news about your site? i checked it out. looked great. looking forward to it!!!! 😃
G'day MR-6T9R,

that 's depend on how big the attachment module on the audio jack ... if its small (just like the nokia's audio jack without cable) why not .... and the ear phone should be as small as possible .... it will be great!!! 😃 😃 [/quote]
