My 7650 and i have had two of them and both the same problem, refuses to keep good time, its just really anoying, has anyone else had this problem is there any fix? i have auto time update off but have had it on and still the same problem.

Must be the time on your Laptop, it changes when syncing.

Many had the same problem, and that was most likely the solution, check the time of the computer you sync with 😉

oh my god i never would have thought of that, thats it phone had identical time to the laptop.

thanks.

I have that problem too.
My phone's clock lates few minutes every day (sometimes only for example 5 minutes, but usually more than 10 for a day)

The time on my laptop starts to run slow if I'm on the net for any length of time, losing up to half an hour sometimes. Cheap rubbish (work provided) it took me ages to realise that it was causing my phone to lose time when I synched to backup, so annoying.

This is mentioned in manual 😃

My 7650 is always bang-on time wise. Then again, the laptop I sync to has an automatic atomic clock update program to always be on perfect time. 😃

Here's a question though. I have the auto-update time feature switched on. Does anyone know how this works? I can't find any mention of it in the manual or anywhere.

Some operators transmit the time along with other cell information.
But sometimes the coding is totally wrong and it screws up the clock.

Thanks mate. I thought it was something like that.
I live in Norway and use Telenor. They obviously send out the correct time because I have this feature turned on and my 7650 always displays perfect time. 😃
