Have fun with the 95, come back in a couple weeks and let us know what you think of it (especially the battery life), I am still unsure if I should get one yet so would be nice to get a comparison from an ex N80 user

lol
my mate bought me his 2nd n95 to play with last night 😎 2nd because the voafone one went back, no VOIP ect also fone was dodgy (would call me and i'de hear nothing - but he could hear me ) anyway he got the n95 on o2 now, last night i changed to code and upated to V11 firmware also added tomtom6, but there were problems in that itself!! also unless it's just me/my PC/his '2gb sandisk' ''ebay mem card'' the transfer of files is proper slow (took like 20-30mins moving 300mb - usb2) i have noticed the o2 version is a better looking screen and ovo the software is generic now :icon14: gona play again later so will update as and when 😊

Hopefully I'll be moving over to the N95 section myself sometime in June though I've got to say that having lived in a world on non-branded, sim-free generic joy for the last year I'm not looking forward to Vodafone's firmware abominations.

Will probably try to flash it straight away, ruin it, and be back here again before you know it!

hahah seeya ccbup4it... like everyone says... be good to hear your views when you've had it a while... on paper it looks like a logical upgrade for an N80 user... BUT! 😉

was thinking of getting n95 but going to avoid it niow after hearing these comments

might give nokias a miss altogether now

NOT impressed by n80 at all

prblem after problem

if your not impressed with the N80 - go for the E series, I would love an alternative to Nokia - but sadly I have never found one...

I have to be honest I have loved my N80 - and I think the N95 is the ONLY real upgrade to it on the market, it seems to be similar enough but with a few neat enhancements... That said I would love a mobile computer convergant type of thing which has a great camera, gps software (with a bt recieve if neccesary) and a few other features ... BUT thats not looking promising.

I try N95 and from every angle now... well, how to say that... Im not impressed at all. It does not deserve the price and is not that great after N80... The screen is even worse. After N80 screen I must wait for even better resolution. Wi-Fi is great for browse the net, but N80 is more pleasant device that N95... very low resolution screen. Just my opinion...

I am an ex-N80 user and have found the N95 nothing but an improvement. Remember, all the bad stuff you read isnt every users experience. Most people only post bad experiences to get them off their chest or to find help (alot can also be user problems not phone problems) The battery life is fine, lasts u to 4 days which is not too bad, the least Ive had it last was about 3 days. I cant complain about that. Slider is fine, I am with Vodafone but they didnt brand the phone because they released it before doing so. I assume they will in the future but luckily I got in before that. My N80 lagged all the time. Up to 20 seconds to open messages, send messages, open programs. Always too a minute to load all pics in gallery. I stored everything on my memory card to save space but it still lagged. I tried formatting the card, resetting the phone which both worked for a week or so before going back to its old self. To me the N95 was a significant upgrade and has been more than perfect since I got it 6-7 weeks ago.

good to know.. cheers.

well i had my nokia 95 found it very good except for batt which is really bad , but the phone is worth it , 😊

a little sorry about my n80 though...

just before i got my new phone the screen on my n80 broke i mean it wouldn't work it was cracked or anything but the phone was still working , but i thought i would get the phone repaired as i didn't have insurance at the time i took it back to "phones for u" where i got it from and they said it was still in warranty , so they took my phone off me and sent it off to be repaired (without giving me a temp phone to use in the meantime ).

"phones for U" told me it would take about 10 days to get it back , after 17 days i called them, this is what they said " sorry but the phone has been deamed "beyond economical repair" due to the screen not working because of water damage (BOLLOCKS, WATER HAS BEEN NOWHERE NEAR MY PHONE) and if i would like to dispose of the phone free of charge they would do that (THANKS, NOT ! ! ! ) but if i wanted the phone back i have to pay 17.63 to get it back (rip off i think) i could off just taken the phone to my local market they would of repaired the screen for a tenner , now i don't know what to do , get the phone back or not , i was going to sell the phone on ebay but i don't know now if it will ever work , any advice ?????

Oh my gosh.....they calime my Nokia N80 had suffered Water Damage too - then when I paid the £17.63 to get my phone back, they sent it back broken....!!!!

Then I sent it back to them, and they woudn't return my phone - I've taken them to court and am waiting for a hearing date 😉

Good to hear you have taken the initiative to take them to court, good luck and let us know how you get one, they cant keep getting away with this crap..

Hey guys, I also upgraded my N80 for an N95 and my opinion is that it's pretty much the N80 but improved, that's the best description for it. The slider stays in place, the camera takes much much better pictures and videos, the menus open faster, it uses miniUSB so the cable doesn't disconnect easily, comes with a standard phonejack for headphones, and i seem to get a slightly better battery life (don't hold your breath though), the music player is improved, as it shows album art (i dont recall that on the N80). The only thing I really miss is the gorgeous screen, but I don't think I could go back.
