Are Nokia aware of battery problem??

HI does anyone know if Nokia have realised there is a problem with their 950mA battery for the N95? I'm finding the battery life unacceptable despite the phone's capabilities, so just curious if Nokia have been alerted to the problem, and if they are taking steps to develop a higher capacity battery!

I can only get 1.5 days on standby with hardly any use and will be returning mine as soon as the returns envelope arrives from T-mobile! :frown:

Unfortunately, Nokia are a bit naughty claiming 9 days standby etc. for a SmartPhone. That's only possible if you switch it to Offline mode and dont touch the handset for 9 days.

1.5 days is about average for an N-Series handset with moderate use.

I recommend a charge every night.

After repeated full charges I am getting around 2-3 days now and that's even with a fair bit of use, the only thing that really drains it fast is using GPS on a long journey and now I use an in car charger to keep it topped up!

Mine is so-so. If I play some games on the train, then the phone is dead early evening which can catch me out. I would like a desktop cradle with built-in charger and space behind the phone so it charges another battery. That way I can just switch the batteries when it gets low.

Hopefully Nokia learn from its mistakes as it is less than ideal if you use a large range of features (or one particularly draining one).

My battery also takes just over an hour to charge though I know Steve's charges in about 25 mins!

Having used mine now for 2-3 weeks I must say that the battery has gone from terrible to quite acceptable. My normal use is <10 min talk time per day, some 5-10 min of www browsing using 3G, some 5-10 min www browsing using WLAN.
I have set "scan for WLAN" off.
Dual mode (2G/3G) is enabled.

I typically get 2-3 days between charges.

(..of course, if you use the GPS the battery drains quickly...)

Blueunplugged have a desktop charger with extra battery slot, it's not official Nokia but works fine.

I think Nokia have missed a huge trick with the N95 not charging off the USB, I could leave it plugged all day at work then. And yes a charging / USB cradle would be very usefull!

I get about 1.5 days use out of mine, unless I use the wireless or bluetooth. I drove from Southampton to London the other day using Tomtom and a bluetooth GPS device and the phone went from a full charge to two bars left when i got to my house.
