I'm still trying to get to grips with my E65 and the (to me) unfamiliar Symbian operating system. So can I ask for some more information, advice and guidance from those more experienced than me please?
1. Is there any way to minimise Real Player so as to be able to stream radio in the background while using the phone for other things?
2. When trying to stream from a particular US internet radio station via www.reciva.com, Real Player downloads the appropriate file but then seemingly can't open it and start streaming but simply offers to save it. On my PC Real Player has no difficulty opening and streaming this station. Am I missing something on the E65?
3. Is there anything equivalent to the Sony Ericsson Code Memo where one can have a password protected note where things like PINs and passwords can be stored reasonably securely?
Any help on these much appreciated.

The only way I found of doing this on my E61 is change your power save timeout to something like 1 minute, wait for the power save to kick in, then if you press menu RealPlayer minimizes and works in the background....... Not a solution, but a workaround.😉
Thanks Steve I'll try that this evening when I have WLAN access. Every time I try to connect to my office WLAN it crashes the router so our IT guy has banned me from trying to use the WLAN until he can change the router next week!!!

On the e65, holding down the 'menu' key allows you to switch programs, much like 'alt-tab' on a PC.
Thanks for this suggestion but I was aware of this function of the menu button and when I try this Real Player stops playing - that's the problem. I can't access other phone functions without real Player stopping.

Yes, that's a known problem with RealPlayer. The only solution is Steve's one which is a real pain in the a** (the solution, not Steve).
You might want to have a look the open source Nokia Internet Radio software (http://opensource.nokia.com/projects/s60internetradio/ClientPage.html). It can not play radios in Real format but can play MP3 and AAC radios. The software is very rough but if the radios you're interested in streams in MP3 or AAC format, it might be more practical than Real Player.

The commercial Handy Safe software (and possibly other commercial software as well) will do that nicely.
Many thanks for these suggestions. I'll have a look at the Nokia Internet Radio software as while the lack of minimisation of Real Player is a nuisance it's not critical but there is one station that I can't stream which is mp3 so that may solve another problem! And likewise I'll check out the Handy Safe. In fact I've just bought the Digital Clock software so that I can have an illuminated clock at night (my SE phone had that as well!!!) so I guess I may have to shell out for Handy Safe as well.
Well, I installed the Nokia Internet Radio. But it took a bit of messing around to get it to work because I installed the Shoutcast directory in the phone rather than on the memory card and then couldn't access it to place the Playlist file in it. So I had to then install Y-browser in order to access the Shoutcast directory. And then I found that the radio couldn't resolve the domain name in the playlist so I had to use a DNS resolver progamme to get the IP address and edit the Playlist! But once all that was done it worked and my E65 is merrily streaming a 128kbs mp3 station! And I can minimise it as well!
So thanks for all the suggestions and advice - all of my questions have been answered 😊
