Removing vodaphone logo on phone, sugar cube technique??

Hey

I'm looking to remove the Voda logo if possible from the front of my phone. I noticed four screws, 2 at top, and 2 at bottom, of the front fascia. Is this easily removed and cheap to replace with a non branded one?

Also the print of the vodafone logo is the same type as an Orange SPV500 I used to have. With this phone if you rubbed the logo with a sugar cube  it rubbed off the logo, but was not abbrassive enough to damage the fascia in the slightest!! Anyone brave enough to try it on their N95??

The SPV was a metal case painted black, where as the N95 is obviously plastic...

its easy to replace the front, just undo the 4 screws and it comes off, and the front of the n95 is METAL, if u take the front off and scratch it on the bak ull see its made of sum sort of metal, the whole front slide is metal, i havnt heard of any1 trying the suger cube trick, and for an unbranded facia try blueunpluged.com

Thanks, perhaps it's not 'obviously plastic' then :embarasse

I remember the ol' sugar cube trick! 😊

Be carefull though, since a lot of users have been complaining that the silver coating on the N95 is easily scrached. The SPV's coating was smoother than the N95. I I were you I'd keep my sugarcubes for my coffee...

I'm sorry but the front and most of the N95 is plastic. The METAL that you so loudly speak of is for the sliding mechanisim - seriously can you imagine the problems with a plastic mechanisim.

erm no, iv took my n95 apart and trust me, the whole front is metal, not sure what sort of metal but its 100% metal, take the 4 screws out, take fascia off and scratch the bak with a sharp object, its metal

Its a metal composite (read metal plastic mix). So your all right, in a way. Certainly not a machined billet of aluminium mind, which would look sweet!
