Unable to connect - WLAN Network not found
I get the message above when I try to connect to my WLAN. The irony is that I'm using the exact same settings on my previous E61, which had no problems connecting to my wireless network. But with the N95, it detects the network, but then wont connect to it, giving above error message.
I've searched hard for a solution, including using the Advanced settings via Options/IPv4 but still the same. I'm wondering if this indicates a problem with my handset?
Anyone had this issue?
I've now found that if I remove the security from my router, then the N95 connects to my WLAN fine.... so it seems its something to do with the security, but my E61 never had any issues. I checked both phones for any differences in the settings and the only thing I found is that the E61 has a setting for TKIP or AES security - there's nothing on the N95. I use WPA/WPA2 encryption on my router.
I don't know what else to do really....
Which firmware are you using?
Try this: when the list of APs found is presented, count to 5, then choose the one you want.
For me this has solved the issue, as I suspect that the phone is not dropping the connection after the scan quickly enough so when you try to connect it fails.
It could also be if you hide the SSID on your router. I've had to unhide mine to get it to connect.

Yes that's true and anyway, hiding the SSID to conceal your network is a Myth. Most WiFi chipsets can now detect them. It just causes more problems.

nope, cos if I were hiding the SSID, it wouldn't be able to see my network at all, would it... and it sees it fine.

er.... wait 5 seconds!? OK!! I'll try that... why does it have to drop the connection after the scan though...?
firmware is v11

Not sure really, just that this works for me. Perhaps the phone has to interrogate the AP to find out bits of info like SSID and security type.

Sorry, didn't realise you were using the scan, thought you were just creating the connection manually.
I was looking through this thread for help as I had the same problem. My connection on my S60 phone stopped working. I was able to fix it simply by giving my wireless router a reboot
