Honourable Members,
I am new in this much talked about forum and am greatly impressed by what i saw.However, since when i purchsed my device i have some nagging problems and i do hope you will be able to bail me out.
1.I visited the Nokia website, followed the promft and downloaded the software updater setup for the Nokia N95 but it became difficult to install it into my computer!Midway into installation windows installer comes up with a message came saying "minimum memory is 256MB" and that's all. I run an Acer laptop 1*256MB DDR SDRAM with lots of free space.Nokia advised me to send it to them for the upgrade but i hate doing so because we do not have Nokia service centre in our country.
2. I copied one of my microsoft word document from my computer in to the Nokia N95 but cannot view it in my quick office quick word but in differnt location. How do i view it in the right place i.e the quick office. I am talikng about VIEWING not EDITING.
3. I downloaded all the requirement for the GPS but cannot see my UAE or any map in my device. I downloaded the search and install it in my device,the map loader. Please lead me on how to view my maps in my device.
Finally, i am sure these questions must have been answered previously but the FORUM is so great for me to attempt locating them.
Hi Alkali, there is a "Documents" folder on the phone memory. If you copy the files to this directory, they will show up in the list when you open quickoffice. However, you can browse to wherever you have put a document and it will then also appear in the list.
Thanks Mudstaff you are wondeful! I did exactly like you told me and i could see all my word documents ( except two ) in my quick office.The irony is they are the ones i wanted more than the others. Any idea what to do?
2. What do i stand to gain if i buy quick office premier ?
Quick Office Premier will allow you edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents rather than just viewing them.
Can someone provide the web link to upgrade to Office Premium??

xxx.quickoffice.com/s60v4/devices.asp?ac=dlist&mfg=Nokia
or you can do it directly from your phone:
open Quick Office application-->QuickManager-->Updates&Upgrades

You're better off upgrading from the Quickoffice app on the phone, it's cheaper. Go to the Quickmanager tab. You can activate editing on the version in the phone for 10.50. Or upgrade to Premier for 15.25.
