found this while trying to beat chess genius, the damn CHEATER :evil:

ive attached the savegame in case you didnt understand the diagram

yes I see 😊 the pawn can take 2 steps the first time.
I was miss reading the playfield *g*

I dont think he was complaining about the white pawns move, but rather the black pawn that removes the white pawn and moves diagonally onto an empty squre. The move is know as En Passant.

Wow... I wish I understood chess. I'm going to learn I think, is there a Windows program which teaches or do I have to grovel and ask my girlfriend? (I dismissed her claims to be a world beating Chess lord the other day)

Woow, so this is something completely new for me. I'm sometimes playing chess for fun, but I have never seen this move. Thanks for improvment of my chess knowledge.
