Where's the Today Screen?

Asri al-Baker examines the 'Today'/Home screen in a succession of devices, from the Sendo X to the MOTORiZR Z8 (developed by much of the ex-Sendo team), asking why Sony Ericsson messed up so badly with the P990 Home screen. Asri also doesn't sound that convinced with the P1i Home screen (although of course it's still early days for this).

Asri, you hit the nail there! Thats one of the main features users demand for the p990

However, it seems the P1 has support for plugins on the today screen (Michal Jerz said it on his preview), giving that P990/M600/W950 are supposed to get a firmware update near the P1 launch, with things from the P1 firmware, we might finally get something of that sort for the P990

no shortage of shortcuts here, although Today information is still a tap away...
- but the info stays there once tapped until you tap to collapse it or reboot your phone, so this isn't really an issue

The P990 is the biggest lemon ever in mobile tech. Late by 1 year, full of bugs, this is a stinker.

So if you want to change the phone/email/sms ringtones to a beep for a meeting on a SE UIQ phone, you have to do it one by one, then back? What a p.o.s. !
