I'm a bit horrified having come across this thread.
As someone else mentioned, if you really don't like it - don't visit. If it really concerns you then email Darla with some constructive criticism - there's no need be nasty about it. Most weblog writers / website people will be glad to hear feedback.
I do realise ads is a sensitive subject, and some people feel very strongly about this, but I think it is upto the content creator / owner what she or he does.
In many cases advertising goes towards supporting the site itself (be it hosting costs, software costs etc.). This site is a good case in point - it could not exist without advertising.
Just as an aside (and this is personal opinion) I think its a bit low going to another forum / site to comment like this.
With my admin hat on I'll note that the forum rules state:
'Be respectful and couteous at all times. Do not be offensive or abusive'
I'd say several posts in this this thread break this. I'll let what gone on thus far go this time, but any more discouteous posts may result in a final warning and/or a ban.
