How to un-install any unwanted themes

11 replies · 5,577 views · Started 07 June 2007

Iv installed some themes to both the phone memory and the card and i want to delete any unwanted themes.

Whats the best way to do this? i cant seem to find them in the file manager and cant delete them straight from themes?

If they are'nt in the app manager which happens then you 'll have to delete them the mass storage/data transfer way.
There are many topics covering this so a search is in need if you wish to do this.

Mine were not in the application manager, and I've done some searching without finding the answer (just a few questions regarding this)

Could you plz explain what to do, or post a link to the description?

Didn't search that much did you, read this full thread. It's about themes on the N73 but it'll work with the N95.

And if you get no joy there then look in the themes section

To delete themes via mass storage/data transfer

1. Connect ur Mini/MicroSD to ur PC (via Card Reader or USB Mass Sotrage/Data transfer Mode)

2. Proceed to My Computer > Mini/MicroSD Drive > Private > 10207114 > Import

In my case it's E:\private\10207114\Import

3. You will notice alot of subfolders there.. Browse each folder..
Inside each folder contains one theme you've previously installed..

Example: i have a sub folder 37e6839e3b1eecb7 which containts the
following files:

Fire.mbm, Fire.mif and Fire.skn

4. Just delete the whole folder (e.g. 37e6839e3b1eecb7) and you Memory Card 's space is cleared from that missing theme..

This works with my N73 and N95

You're partly right about my searching. I only searched in the N95 forum/ tread - thats because I don't know which other Nokias having the same version of the OS...

Anyway thanks for the pointer... 😊

There's quite a bit of theme info in the N73 section and the themes section too:icon14:

Hi,

New to N95 8G.
Should i install the theme to the Phone Memory or install them to Mass Memory?
wats the difference(s) ?
