Hi well I guess my question is in the title. I am still a big GPS n00b - and while I have installed TomTom - it isn't reporting any SpeedCamera info yet when driving.
Can anyone please explain to me how to get speed camera info to work in TomTom?
Thanks!
In the maps directory you should have speed camera files, if this isnt the case then you will have to purchase the speed cameras. Once you have these available install them into the maps directory. You may also need to adjust the setting on TomTom POI so that when you close to a speed camera it alerts you with a sound. 😉
I'm not sure I have those. Where can I buy them and what is this additional package called?
Do you have to subscribe to get the Speed Camera data bases from there - or is there somewhere I can get them for free? Also if I did buy a subscription - which version do I need that is compatible with the N95?
I can see two entries from there: TomTom Home and TomTom OV2.
For the N95 you'll need TomTom OV2, then choose how you want your cameras, download the zip file and copy all the .bmp and .ov2 files to the map folder on your memorycard.
