MODERATOR?

Moderators have 5 points. And to become a mod you have to be active and helpful. And aas have to need one too. Everyone with over 500 posts dont automatically be a mod.

Bottom line is it Rafe's site, so Rafe decides. He has devolved a lot of power, to the point where you have Rafe (El Prez), a Senior Admin Team, Admins and Mods, and then people who visit and post a lot.

Posting lots *doesn't* automatically give you mod status - to use a personal example Rafe "Modd'ed" me when my post count was less than 100 (but that was a long time ago back on All About ER6).

So simply put, if Rafe thinks you'd be an asset to the site, he'll get in touch with you - as would one of the Senior Admin team after discussion with Rafe (and each other).

If I may add, it's very hard full time job to be a moderator. This is especially true in AAS where there are many members to help and advice and at times, moderate.

I bet these guys have already gray hair, and looks older than before being a mod. 😃

yup, this issue was raised before and it was answered quite clearly by the Big Chief. i reckon they have (rafe and the mods) compelling reasons to make people here mods. thanks for your comment anyway, pandemonium, there are probably priveleges once you become a mod, but im sure there will be responsibilities too, the thing is i enjoy posting whether im a mod or not and i enjoy this site! 8)

I became one of the first (actually I think the first) mod, closely followed by Loonyworld mostly for dealing with this forum but also as we strived to help the site offer various services to the visitors here.

well you can squeeze the minutes you stare at the cieling and get a refund for some time here. That's what i do! No more cieling staring... man i miss those white dots! :P

walking on the ceiling is a piece of cake when you become a moderator, only problem I'm experiencing, is that I don't seem to be able to walk on the floor anymore. Oh well, guess I'll have to practise staring at the floor first. (pandemonium any tips?)

I guess you it depends on different views, I guess when your on the ceiling, your ceiling isn't your ceiling anymore but your floor. So I guess then your floor will already be your ceiling.
