I can't help you with the issues/new things, as I don't own a N73, but I can give you a hint about product codes. Normally the FW update is available for generic product codes.

no it's always available, but not for all country code!!!!!
and can someone tell us, why nokia has spprimed this firmware?

Maybe because it's both N73 regular and music edition... Consumers would opt to buy this version than a ME thereby destroying the Music series market..

this firmware isnt great i installed it yday

phone now dosent know peoples name when i get a txt just there numbers which is very annoying

dosent take a 4gb memory card as stated in above posts

camera start time is the same as my girlfriends music edition

no snake game but this can be downloaded

no way of downgrading

iam looking at downgrading with phoneix cant find the links i need can someone help me to get the great music edition on my phone as this firmware aint very good at all

my phone was under warranty can the okia service centre put it back?? or have i messed my warranty??

the fix the sms bug do this

[FONT="Arial"] i played around with it a bit , the only way to put back to normal is editing all your contacts with + Country code, then THE next time u get a msg from them their name will be be on the sms. [/FONT]

this firmware is okk not the best through, the camera quality looks worse, the sms bug needs to be fixed😡 , other than that, i should not've updated to this firmware :icon13:

i so hate this firmware now, the contacts on this firmware are screwed i have add each phone number 2 times of same number i just hope next firmware they fix it or is there a contacts manager program that could fix my problem

[FONT="Arial"][SIZE="4"]before i updated the to new firmware i forgot to back my phone, such things as ringtones and contacts, anyway i updated to the firmware copied all my contacts from my sim card, when i receive a sms from my gf i noticed it was not recizing the name it would show up as +61*****, i changed it +61***** on her contact then 2day when she called her full number showed up and i'm like wtf, so then i had to add the number aswell, is there anyway to put back to normal or do i need to wait til the next firmware update is out. plz pm if u can help me[/SIZE][/FONT]

have you made any back up using pc suite? if you did, then maybe you should try an earlier restore point.. My advice is you should back up using both your mem card and pc suite before doing any update..

ok i'm re-installing the update i have backup all my data to the memory card😊 i just hope it fixes the contacts its so weird with the contacts, calling got no issues @ all , but msging has got issues , nokia have to fix this issue its really annoying, if anyone has fixed the contacts/msg problem plz pm me

The only thing I can suggest is you still have all the numbers stored on your sim and now on your phone. This will cause confusion. Delete all the numbers from your SIM, have them just on your phone and that should solve the problem. I have this latest s/w version and all works fine, whether I have the number in international format or not, it shows the senders name when that name is stored in my phonebook.

If you don't have the numbers on your SIM maybe you have that particular number stored twice in the phone memory somewhere?

ok i just deleted all my contacts from my sim card, cleared all my missed calls, revieved and dialed + sented msges, added everybody again, I've still got the same problem.
there has to be a way to fix this small problem.

mate i had the same trouble with my txts it was so so annoying!!! just getting the +44 the the number changed all my contacts to +44 everytime someone rung it would display their number not the name

took my phone to a shop he flashed it for me AND BRICKED IT wasnt a nokia service centre just a phone shop with a good flasher (well thats what he said lol)

when we looked up my product code i had an apac code on there

there is also a euro version of firmware 4.whatever

maybe you guys who have working v4.whatever have the euro one going the only difference in the firmeware codes is the last digit

the phone flasher tried putting loads of different firmwares on after the 1st one came up error NONE OF THEM UNBRICKED MY PHONE

i was lucky i have insurance 20 quid and i had a new phone the next day anyone else thinking of flashing it to fix the txt errors BE CAREFULL

i now have the genuine music edition that i got as a replacement SWEET loving it in black very very nice 😊

i also have a 4gb memory card in it and it is working sweet
i had to format it into the fat format for phone to pick it up then i had major phone slow down for around 5 mins and i mean major it crashed a few times when the phone had to access the memory card ie music player and file manager and this was with nothing on the memory card

i perserved for the 5-10 mins took the card out a few times and back in then hey presto my phone loves it 😊

i got the 4gb memory card from ebay from a seller called fastmemoryman

hes based in the america but posts from birmingham in the auction listing it says that it will work with any device that will hold 2gb THIS EBAY SELLER DIDINT LIE!!! works a treat

tips for the 4gb memory card for the n73
dont put anything on it 1st put it into computer and format it into fat format i done a quick format
still leave it empty and play with it in phone
take it out a few times and slide it back in allways try to use the remove memory card function of the phone
dont buy one of the new sdhc 4gb mini sd cards there differnt to the normal mini sd cards and your phone wont have none of it!! BUY A NORMAL 4GB MINI SD CARD THEY ARE OUT THERE
then install some say music nt the whole 4gigs but just 512mb or summin then see how you get on once my phone had accepted it i was pretty much away
installing an application to the memory card took a bit but that could be cause my memory card is slow who knows
1st time i opened things up after turning the phone on they were a tad slow but after the 1st time very smooth

IAM LOVING THE 4GB MEMORY CARD TOMTOM ONLY TAKES UP 400MB MAX THE WAY I HAVE IT THAT LEAVES THE REST FOR FUNFUNFUNFUN 😊

id avoid the latest version 4.whatever for now few peeps are having troubles with it and version 3 can take 4gig for definite i even tryed my 4gig in a normal n73 that i had upgraded to euro 1 music edition which was also version 3 and it worked a treat 😊

I THINK ITS MORE TO DO WITH THE MEMORY CARD THEN THE PHONE FIRMWARE

MUSIC EDITION IS SWEET DONT BE FOOLED BY SUMMIN NEWER ITS NOT ALLWAYS THE BEST AND IF SUMMIN IS WORKIN WHY MESS WITH IT 😊
