Screensaver for 9210

you can run flash on your 92xx but no screensaver software at the moment ...

The only thing is the blanck screen that goes off after a while. It could be a nice software... 😊

:P It would be nice to have a cool screensaver... especially animated ones... but it would definitely sucks up your memory...

Yeah,actually I didn't think about that! This is one of the major limitations of this device,the memory is never enogh!!! :evil:

It's stupid: there's so much you could do with the device, if there were more memory :evil:

Unfortunatly we have to be dependent on memory managment apps in order to do "big" ops on our communicators...it's just a pity! 😞 I even think that they could have enlarged the memory for the 9210i,but they didn't take the chance!! :evil: Why?!!!! :x :evil:

2 thoughts on screensavers:

1) The device uses an LCD not a CRT so a screensaver is pointless as the screen doesn't need saving, coupled with the fact it turns off after a few minutes.

2) Battery life would be seriously hampered by a screensaver as it would involve the screen being on and draining power all the time to display it, plus the power needed to compute the screensaver itself.

Allright...screensaver software has failed!!! :P

:angel: The ability for either normal or 3rd party screen saver for it to have the ability to wake it self up after down loading from the net or big mail downloads also to have image animation user selectable so downloaded images could be used or just the normal black screen. Could you explain why there is a screen saver on the machine if the TFT screen does never suffer from screen damage from been left on to long on a static screen. I didn't realise TFT screens were imune to no damage at all. That is fantastic news. :angel: :angel: :angel:
