When taking a photo the flash is always set to do just that, flash.
Is there a way to set it so the auto is no flash at all, if you see what I mean.
Sorry if this has been asked before.

Unfortunately no. Although you can switch the flash off, or render the flash dependency less sensitive by increasing the ISO rating, no user settings are saved once the camera application is closed. Everything defaults to factory settings/auto when restarting the camera.
Whilst a handicap for settings such as flash and ISO, this does come in handy if you've tinkered with the sharpness settings and you find the N95 over zealous after modifications.
when you're in the camera there's an option on the menu on the right hand side to either have flash on, off, automatic, or red-eye reduction. u can select 'off' from there.
(think its under the lightning symbol initially but haven't got my phone with me to check rite now).

Yes, but the N95 will forget these settings when you turn the camera off.
Would be nice if it asked you, when closing, if you wanted it to remember your settings.
Yeah its very annoying, especially when I forgot and the flash ends up in someones face haha, ah well, just have to remember to turn it off everytime
Personally I don't actually have a problem with flash, what's more annoying is that it remembers the photo/video mode too. The number of times I recorded a video clip when I thought I was taking a photo...
