No, it's not. It doesn't have two way sync of calendar, so you can only view what's already on your Yahoo calendar. Getting stuff there has to be done without an N95. And all the other stuff is just bandwidth hungry rubbish. IMHO they lost it when they moved away from v1.

Hi all,

I have to agree with chrsfrwll the original YahooGo app as found on the N73 and a few other devices was stunning. As it allowed full calendar sync as well as contacts and accessing your Yahoo pictures it also had a great push E-Mail service and was generally just a great app. Since i sold my N73 it is the one thing i missed on my N93 and although i tried YahooGo 2.0 whilst in Beta it was uninstalled faster than installed. It is lacking the originals functionality wants to stay permanently connected and IMO is just rubbish. All that it offers can be achieved easier using either inbuilt functionality or by adding some apps most of which are free.

For the best Mobile Weather app IMO use Mobile Weather that actually collects it's data from Yahoo and allows you to customise your home location to area rather than just city and you can also have multiple locations. For E-mail the built in app either manual or scheduled retrieval is best IMO. Most of the other things can also be setup quite easily i really miss the original YahooGo but this version is just rubbish IMO.

Any other choice for those who want to sync calender and contacts with yahoo or any popular email account.

I don't understand why they are not giving Yahoo Go in symbian version. Even though v1 of Y go was available for all 2nd ed devices and they released it just for n73 I believe. My point is that they have put efforts for the symbian client then all of a sudden discontinued it. The Symbian client is always more fast and can do more than this v2 J2ME client. I am totally dissapointed 😞

Hello,

I agree with you on the lost of functionality in v 2.0 - moreover it seems v 1.x is being terminated at the end of August 2007.

I really think one of the best features of Yahoo was being able to synchronize calendar and contacts with my Nokia. If this feature is no longer supported, I am thinking about changing to other mail / online PIM provider.

Do you know of the any sound alternatives?

Thanks a lot!

Hi
i have posted elsewhere about how bad this program is......
Did any of you find a comparable program that works with Yahoo....as i really don't want to start agin with Google

Cheers
