bought my n95 couple of days ago and already having problems with it ...
1st it happened twice so far i start calling ppl and when they pick up i can hear them but they can't hear me !!! Anybody with this prob ??
Anybody can help ??
2nd went to nokia's site to upgrade the firmware , it freezes at the begining and after 5 mn it tells me the take of my battery and put it back on and redo it ... but the same thing happens over and over ... so am still with the old firmware ...
anybody knows what should i do ?

do a hard reset - after you've backed everything up and try again.
thats Green * 3 while powering on the phone.
make sure you have the latest PC Suite installed and the phone is set to USB mode.

1. The silent call is a known V10 FW bug, you are correct to try and update the FW.
2. Disable Anti-Virus and Firewall apps when running NSU FW upgrades.
3. Don't remove battery, but instead click Retry about 5 - 10 times and hopefully the FW upgrade will continue. Works for some other folks.

still have couple of questions though :
1- lets say i have a contact with a cell phone number and a home phone number why whenever this contact calls me from his home phone number there's a cell phone icone next to his name and not an the actual home telephone icon ?
anybody with this problem also? how to fix it ?
2- how to use that gps thing ?
it always tells me waiting for gps even though there's 4 or 5 sattelites out there connected ??
plus i used map loader to download the map and it still asks for a network connection ...
plz help 😊

the gps thing will improve .. ensure a nice clear view of the sky
have the keypad revealed ..
.. use the tools / GPS Data .. be patient .. the first few times it takes a few minutes - like up to 5 .. after these initial uses things speed up dramatically. as in open it click gps app .. and in under 30seconds its working.
so try try try again.

"..4 or 5 sattelites...": Sure the are locked? Bars with signal strength but empty ones means receiving signal but not locked. When locked/position fix, bars turn black.
"...still asks for a network.." This is a setting in the application ensuring that you allways have the most updated maps. Can be turned off.
