Never, I suspect.

I wrote them an email last weekend asking them about it, and they have only just bothered to reply...... I can assume that if I were to phone them up, no-one would have a clue what I was talking about....🙄

Dear Steven

Thank you for your mail.

I am sorry to hear of the problems you are experiencing.

As this is a specialist area, please call our Wirefree Data Services Department on 156 (07973 100156) from your Orange phone if you are a pay monthly customer or 450 (07973 100450) for pay as you go customers, where our Representatives will be pleased to assist you in this matter.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards

The Orange data guys (it's nearly always blokes) are pretty clued up. Makes you wonder if they actually work for Orange. Give them a try!

If the Orange Data team can't supply a definite timescale for release of V12 FW (there's no point Orange releasing V11 now when so close to a new version release) then I recommend you change the product code to Euro-1 using NSS then upgrade with NSU. I did this 2 months ago with no problems since.

I did this with my previous N95, but it deactivates the Line 2 functionality on Orange. I agree that your suggestion is the best thing to do for the majority of people, but I cannot do that in my particular case.:frown:

I didn't even know I had a Line2 option when I had the Orange FW. How does that work?

Do you mean 2 independent phone numbers active at the same time (with only one SIM card?) or just the call hold/transfer option when you are talking to someone and another call comes in. Call hold/transfer still works on Euro-1.

It means 2 seperate numbers, coming into the one sim card. I have my personal number, and then a seperate business (self employed) number. You can assign different ringones etc to the 2nd line. The only thing you cant do from Line 2 is send a text, but you can receive them. You dont automatically get Line 2 on Orange, you have to pay for it 😃

To switch between lines you press and hold '#', but when I updated the F/W this changes that functionality to activate the silent profile, and there is no other way to change to line 2. 😞

Just got this reply:
