with regard to the flashing signal light that all ericsson phones seem to have:
A. does the p800 have this LED?
B. Is there an option to disable it?

P800 owners...
yes the P800 has 2 leds,
1 for signal the green one (who can turn red when the batt is empty)
1 for bluetooth. the blue one
you cannot turn them of
ahhhhhhh! Oh well no P800 for me then, cant stand all that flashing. Will have to wait for a different smartphone or see if SE see the error of their ways and release a P800 without the flashy LED.
Me hate those flashlight too, but it's barely noticeable. you can only see those flashlight if the phone directly facing toward ur eyes.... so go to ur nearest shop n have a look for ur self 8)
my goodness is that what you look at in a phone, if it has flashing lights??!!!??? Man you are wierd....well you could actually go to a phone shop to have the phone opened and remove the lights if you want....

I really think you should reconsider! You won't notice those two lights after you see the huge display and vibrant colours!! 😃

This is the best phone that ever came out up to now. If you want a good phone, get the p800. If you don't like flashing leds, well go and buy a 3210. Its so old and primitive, no lights, seems just perfect for you 😉
No, seriously, the p800 is the best you can get. If the LED's are really so annoying, have them take out.
I dont think anybody cares about this, but a 3rd party app may disable them :x

i kinda like the flashing led.. reminds me of my old GH688.. when i stare at the green light till i fall asleep on night when i cant sleep. Gives me the feelin of the phone being "alive and alert" ... :angel:
The flashing light doesn't bother me....In fact I quite like it as I know whether my handset is in the network... You see, my place has bad reception for GSM900 and better for GSM1800 so, I am ensured that I am within the network if the yellow LED flashes... 😃
ei, y'all! 7650 user here! i got around a mobile shop over lunch and found out that the P800 rocks!!! 😃 it looks cool! i got a chance to play around with a demo unit and tried the video. 😃 really nice, just thought you P800 owners should know! 😃
I really don't see why anyone finds these flashing lights as a problem. In fact, i feel it is an Ericsson mark... which is cool

IF i decide to get a P800, i wouldn't see this as problem as well. i used a T39 before and the green light never bothered me. 😉

The flashing ligths are no where as bad as on the t68i - the T68 could light up an entire room with the LEDs. That is not the case with the P800. I don't notice them even i a completely dark room.
But the screen backligt servers a my pocket light 😉 Open the flip - and you got a great ligtsource - for a short time *G*
