The E90 available in the USA!
Steve - from the Dell website it states " Utilizing HSDPA (up to 3.6 Mbps enabled) and 3G high-speed mobile broadband technology" when referring to the E90. Do you think this means that Nokia has modified a "USA version" of the E90 that will support the 850 / 1900 bands for 3G (via AT&T)....as this website alludes to? Any ability to confirm this?
That would be lovely and would make my buying decision an EASY one...!

I'm not sure about this - I haven't seen any announcement to this effect, but I''l try and get answer. As things stand the E90 does not have US 3G bands.
So while everyone talks of the N95 being the iphone killer, it looks like the blackberry and treo killer is arriving too.
(Sorry I like being a fanboy every now and then).
Close to $800 for an EDGE device!?!
Makes the iPhone a no-brainer.
That price is when you buy it UNLOCKED to a network.
You get a discounted price when you buy it with a network plan.
Also its easily unlockable to any other networks if you so wish in the future.
Given the dearth of far superior functionality it has, then that price (SIM FREE) is appropriate. The other phone just has a very fine User Interface.
So, that is a real no brainer.
The no brainer to me is that iPhone and E90 are both nice products, and aimed at very different markets. 😊
I just purchased from Dell and the eReceipt indicates the following:
"E90 QWERTY SMARTPHONE GSM QUADBAND WCDMA 2100"
Is that a USA 3G frequency?
Will the phone be fully functional here in europe? Because in september I go to NY and maybe I can buy one overthere, but when something doesn't work when used in europe, I ain't doing it.

Nope. In the US, you want 1900, I believe.
I know someone said $800 earlier, but $896 counts as $900 to me. I paid $212 for my 9300, though I had to search to find a Cingular store with one in stock back in March. With the E90 not supporting 3G, while I still envy the larger screen, I have to say I'm feeling a bit smug about my purchase.
