Which N95 Case?

14 replies · 3,883 views · Started 09 July 2007

Im going on holiday next week and im taking my N95 as a phone, and MP3 player, problem is i dont want it getting scratched or broken, is there any decent cases about on the market? the same sort of thing as an MP3 case like you can get for the IPOD?

I dont want it to be too expensive..

I tried a crystal case off ebay, it lasted 2 weeks before the front portion cracked so much it didn't stay on the phone anymore...

Has anyone found a crystal case & had it longer than 2 weeks?

Did you guys not get or like the case supplied with the N95? I think it is superb and provides all the protection i need, and i work in a factory all day.

A word of advice:

STAY AWAY from the 'Body Glove' case

It has a very small strip of plastic covering the screen, this collects dust and when you slide the screen up it scratches the actual screen

It has destroyed my screen beyond salvage, which I'm gutted about

Which case is that one, the Nokia CP-191? What does it look like?

Thanks

The only case that lasts other than the leather ones is the Silicone ones. I have currently got an older silicone case with the tracks and thats actually doing quite well. But this one makes the phone fat and bulky due to the tracks.

I have however bought a Capdase Silicone case from Ebay (look up Capdase N95) and this one is heaps thinner and better. Should arrive in a few days time for me anyway..

Dont go for the crystal cases. Whilst they look nice for the first three days, it will then crack or look so scratched that its not worth keeping.. 😊

Personally, I don't want a case that you can keep on the phone and use the phone whilst the case is on (like the Nokia CP-191).

I'd like one like the blackberry 8700...ie its just slip case with a belt clip on it and you slide the phone out of the case to use the phone.

Do they exist for the N95?

I can confirm that. I noticed it was collecting dirt, but I've just now realised I have a distinct scratch. As you say, gutted.

There are generic Nokia ones eg the CP-154, CP-153. L8shop.net has a good selection.

There are some nice leather ones by Krusell...

I have the Krusell Horizon Leather Case. Fits nicely on the belt and is a very good fit for the N95.

I just use the soft case from an external 2.5" hard drive caddy! Not exactly a tight fit but nicely padded and keeps it goot and safe in my pocket. Obviously you have to take it out to use it though

Yeah, I thought it was dust, but my screen is trashed badly, and when i tried to clean it, the alcohol seeped into the abrasions and you can see liquid in the screen. absolutely gutted

Oh, and my slider is now massively loose! and badly lined up at the bottom

Damn, oh well

Hi all

Well as some one that used to use Krusell cases and thought they were excellent i have now switched to PDAir cases as i find then to be even better. They come in two styles book or flip and if you purchase the additional car suction mount are even easy to use in the car.

Following Steve's recent review, I bought a Nokia CP-191 and can declare it to be bloody excellent: well designed and very well made.
