Just updated this morning to the new firmware, i expect the other networks will follow shortly

I wouldn't bet on it, O2 seem to change the firmware the least and be the most on the ball where firmware is concerned.

Im on o2 UK firmware v11 and tried to update to v12 but NSU says that v11 is the latest firmware. Im using v1.3.85en NSU. :icon13: :frown:

well my country code is 0547686, not sure if that will make a difference. Phone is about 6 weeks old.

i've got a o2 handset which has a product code of 0548021 which i believe is the most common with o2. cant tell you if this product code has a v12 update though since i've already updated to v12

I've just updated the firmware to version 12, but for some reason it won't allow me to restore my previous backups from my memory card ( it did last time I updated the firmware), and everytime I switch on the phone the installer app comes on, and stays on for ages, not allowing me to do anything else. Eventually, the installer shows an error message saying it can't install existing apps (on my memory card), please install them manually from the Application manager. Does anyone know how to get it to stop doing that everytime I restart the phone? And also, when I try to restore the backup from my memory card (4gb sdhc) it closes the Memory card application and then completely freezes, the only way to bring it back is to remove the battery. I'd really appreciate some help here, pm's are welcome too 😊

Yep,

Got the same thing, for some reason it will not install apps that are stored on the memory card.

I also tried to do use my backup that I had saved on my PC, and each time it Blue Screened.....not sure if that is XP or the Nokia Suite.

My last phone had the same problems and I ended up always doing a fresh install of all my programs, a pain but after I did I had no further problems.

Same as mine, I was unaware 11 was even out on o2 so i'm happy. V12 doesn't seem to be available for that product code yet though.

RBD, how did you upgrade to V12? I have tried through the NSU and it says that V11 is the latest???

Interesting. You used to be able to 'reinstall' firmwares in NSU, but in the latest build they appear to have taken that option away. Wanted to install O2's v12 in place of the generic v12, but just tells me I'm already up to date and no option to reinstall.

Why is it the O2, a UK provider has so many country codes for their phones. Is it because they ARE different or just from different suppliers.

It seems a real lottery to get an update, I was luck but other with a N95 from the same provider did not.......Not good O2 get your act together...😡

I am on Generic V12 and still get the option to re-install if I want.

If you change your product code from Generic to O2 then perhaps thats a different matter, as NSU knows you're not trying to install exactly the same version and as a protection from corruption it only allows updates? Just my thoughts!

I want to upgrade my N95's firmware.
The Nokia update software says that I currently runs ver 10.0.018 but after it searched for an update it comes back and tells me that there is no update available for my phone? What now?

Yeah that's what I did. Changed the O2 product code to a generic, applied the v12 update. Then thought I'd change the product code back to O2 and it'd give me the option to apply the v12 for O2 - but it doesn't.

Nevermind, generic is just fine anyway.

I am an UK O2 N95.

Run the NSU and it says Update is only 11.0.026, which i already had installed.

Now v12 at all.

You sure O2 have released the firmware update?
