Been using this for a couple of days now, it was working fine. i watched a film that was nearly 2 hours long, then watched 1hour 40 mins today with no probs.
Put it on again this evening to watch the end of second film and it's coming up with a program damaged! warning with (3309137419) behind it.
Anybody know what could be causing this??, i've tried re-installing it but to no avail.
Any suggestions gratefully recieved, Thank You..
i personally use smart movie on my pc to convert dvd to divx avi's and then use divx player version 0.88 on my N95 to watch the movies, much better in my opinion. Divx 0.88 is freeware, search google

I had similar problems with the 3.40 version. It got corrupted on its own after some time and didn't want to run again.
It hanged up my mobile even if I tried to change the view orientation by moving a slider.
Nevertheless after reinstallation it worked always correctly again ... for some time if slider was not moved.
However I don't observe any problems in the 3.41 version, although I never watched any movie for long time.
In my opinion program is better than DivX, as it can display text with a translation.
I'm having the same error showing now after watching a few hours worth no my n95. I've tried uninstalling and installing again with no luck.
I'd prefer to get this working again as divx player can't adjust audio to get sync. Any suggestions?

I have been trying to download the DIVX player version 0.88 and i only get options to download it for s60 and s60 3rd edition. When i try and install it, it says installation not supported. i have tried this with software for s60 2nd edition and i get the same thing. am i doing something wrong?

You need the s60 3rd edition. Try downloading that and it should work.
In regards to my problem, are there any files left behind during un-installation? I have installed it to the phone as I swap memory cards around a bit.
Still no luck removing the program and reinstalling it. Ideas guys?

sorted it all out. I removed the program and downloaded it again. Now it works again 😊
What is the advantage of using smartmovie or another player over the built in player ? I currently convert videos to mp4 using nero recode and transfer them over which works a treat.
personnally I dont like Nokia Gallery app, mixing images & video, then not letting you use folders or anything, becomes hell when you have a thousand odd pics and vids on a 4GB card, and you have to navigate em 1 by 1
