HI THEIR!
I AM DUE FOR AN UPGRADE AND LUCKLY I AM ON EVERYDAY 50 WHICH I THINK IS THE BEST VALUE FOR MONEY TARRIF.
DO YOU LOT THINK I SHOULD STAY ON THAT CONTRACT BECAUSE IT IS NOT AVALIABLE NOW, ONLY EXISTING CUTOMERS CAN KEEP IT????
I RANG ORANGE AND THEY SAID THE P800 WILL BE WITH THEM IN FEB!! AND THE PHONE MAY BE COISTLY AS IT HAS A HIGH SPEC.
ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS ON VALUE FOR MONEY TARIFFS ??
THANX IN ADVANCE
feel free to stop shouting.
I am on everyday 50, but i think i'll switch to yourplan when i get my P800 (hopefully from orange)
Good to know they actually have a date (finally) when they'll get the P800 in.
i'm with t-mobile. depends how many calls u make. i don't make that many but can at time. i'm looking at everyone 30 contract but may go for a 25/month contract. will c.
t-mobile are the cheapest for MMS txts, i think u can get down to 21p/MMS text if u buy the add-on packs - nearly 50% cheaper than other operators.
i would imagine the phone to be around 250-300 in the UK with contract.
Indy,
If you decide to stay on Everyday 50, then you will mearly be getting an upgrade, not a new contract...this means that the phone will cost as much as a simfree one in my experience, I think you'll be looking from somewhere in the region of 500-600 for phone (rough guestimate)
I say start a new contract and get the phone much cheaper, if you stay with Orange you won't be able to number port, but you'll save yourself a bundle on the phone.
yep, u'r cheaper getting a new contract than upgrading the phone.
If everyday 50 best suits your needs;
1) Get the P800 on a new contract (keeping the ED50 one active) on a tariff above 25 per month (the phone will be cheaper).
2) Get an upgrade on your ED50 (free + price of the phone)
3) Sell the upgrade phone (A SonyEricsson T300 will be free, which you can sell for 180-200)
4) Switch the tariff down to the lowest possible minimal monthly outlay.
5) Pay off the 12 months line rental on the second contract with the money you made on the upgrade phone.
You now have a P800 for the cheapest possible price, some money left over from the sale of the T300 + bundled camera, your ED50 contract and some extra free minutes from the second contract which you've successfuly paid off.
Thats the method I use to change phones. I have a number of contracts running concurently but it means i'm eligable for a free upgrade every 3 months and I rarely pay line rental (in theory at least! I always spend the money from the phone sales on something else).
