I've only just discovered this application!

It seems to store a record of every SMS and MMS I have ever sent and received (whether or not I've deleted the original or not) as well as organising pictures, sounds, etc by date order.

Is it possible to remove the application or at least disable it's "big brother" features? I've no desire for it to keep a log of everything sent just in case my phone falls into the wrong hands.

I've posted this before. In lifeblog, you can change the settings so that it captures 'nothing' from your phone.

lifeblog > options > settings > itemtypes > uncheck all

Then delete everything else.

done.

disable anything u dont want it to record by going into lifeblog, then options , scroll down till you get to settings , once in there go to item types , then uncheck the boxes net to the items you dont want recording in lifeblog. :icon14:.....just seen post above.....just beat me to it lol

Thanks for the prompt response.

However, for the benefit of others reading this, I should perhaps point out that post #2 above actually deletes all your photos, SMS, MMS, etc.

What I wanted to do was something different.

I have a number of photographs on my SD card I wanted to keep. I also had a couple of MMS and SMS I wanted to keep and all these were in my inbox.

What I didn't want was for Lifeblog to keep a record of everything.

I wanted to empty the Lifeblog references but keep a selection of files.

As it is, I've deleted everything which was not the aim.

As for post #3, whilst you are right in what you say, if I later re-check all boxes then Lifeblog pops up with everything again. I actually wanted Lifeblog to stop spying on me and to "record" nothing.

ffcphone - woah, you're right (just tried myself).

It appears all you need do is uncheck everything, which removes ALL from your lifeblog (as well as preventing more being added), but leaves it's original intact.

Apoilogies for my suggestion to delete the rest 😮

Don't worry about it. A bit annoying but I fully appreciate the "pinch of salt" which must be taken with all advice from forums such as these. But if my girlfriend launches an attack on me for deleting picture of her godson then I'll give her your forum details!!

However, my concern remains that simply unchecking the boxes merely removes Lifeblog's search facility at that moment. For example, if I uncheck everything today, I wonder whether in 2 month's time I could simply recheck everything and all texts etc would then reappear again.

ie does Lifeblog always monitor the phone's input and output regardless and the checkboxes just filter the current search results rather than affecting the actual "recording of data" for later use.

I unticked all the boxes ages ago. I've just gone back in and ticked them all again and it's populated itself but only items that are still in the phone, EG pictures, but none of the text messages I had received and deleted.

Hope this helps.
