Excellent Work Ginomi. I tried it on my P800 just now and connected to my server over GPRS. Although screen rendering was slow, but gives remote control to the machine ayway in emergency cases.
Now I am happy that I bought P800!!!

If somebody are not happy with the spedd of VNC he can always test remote control that is much faster and support landscape mode but you have to pay for that...
😮ops: sorry, but how can i configure p800 gprs connection to connect on my lan? I only get success with a remote access configuration through GSM (but with a speed of 9600 vnc is unusable...).

I have installed vnc to my p800 but when i try to run in hextile get no responses so tried raw but is takin for ever got bored after 2.1meg of gprs n still no image on my screen. so do i need to change anything to run in hextile, how much kb/mb should i be using?? all help much appreciated

Hi, Im also having a lot of trouble. mostly shortly after entering the host screen and password the application just closes down. Occasionally it sits there for a while and I see a bit of data transfer, then it closes down.
Is the screen entry 0 if using the winvnc auto option or should 5900 be entered.
And finally a request for a mod; is there any chance of adding a text save function so that the host, screen (and perhaps password) can be saved on the phone.

ginomi, reading back my last posting I should have started by thanking you for being kind enough to share this great application with us.
Ive still not managed to get VNC to work for me but Im having to run it via no-ip. Could this be why Im having a problem?

vnc is the best thing out fot the p800 again as said before very well done ginomi, but i have a suggestion to make my life (selfish me) easier. Can you get it to zoom out and maybe even go full screen, also right click would be usefull as i cant get the 1 second thing to work. Sorry if I sound ungratefull nothing could be further from the truth its invalualable to me as it is

Hi all, love the app, but has anyone managed to get it to work with Zone Alarms Firewall on?
My setup
P800 to windows XP (XP firewall is off)
with zone alarm off i can get in with it on i cannot.
the vncserver on my xp box has got permissions in the access and server for both trusted and internet (4 green ticks).
I am using zone alarm free version 3.7.202

hi .. I have same specs, but couldn't manage to get connected with my P800, although I can give u a hAnDy advice for ZONE ALARM.
it's better to change FIREWALL settings to medium security if you're not a proffesional user, and make sure you didn't block VNC from accessing the internet or acting as a server.
I'm having problems running the VNCViewer on my P800. I have searched, but can't find the answer, I put in the IP address the sceen (0) and the password, but the screen just returns me to the app menu. Please help.....

After doing a bit of searching, I have been unable to find the download of the VNC Client talked about in this thread... any ideas? Am I just being a muppet here? 😕
