Just downloaded and installed Call Manager for Nokia 7650 from handango.
It does not have that annoying bug about microphone muting.

Oh,sorry,couple of minutes ago latest news was Triz.
I got confused thinking that he talked abotu Smart Answer from SymbianWare.
It can mute the mike while recording? No more annoying beep?

Well there wouldnt be much point in making yet another answer phone ap that DOESNT mute the mic, nows theres one that does.

the only difference is that call manager seems more easier to use.

Im looking at the new smart answer now... Its EXCELLENT!!! I HIGHLY reccomend it, VERY easy to use!!! and straght forward etc...
I just realized that Call Manager is twice the price of SmartAnswer.. 😮

Now I think SmartAnswer is the right choice.
I will go & try out the lastest version which will mute the microphone.
If it works & cheaper , I will recommand it to other coz it is rich in functionality.
I am lucky! I have not bought CM this morning 😃
Now the price is 11 dollars! Concurrence is best for customers!!!!

Why would you buy Call Manager when there is a product like Smart Answer that is far better in every respect.
Do yourself a favour, at least give it a try first 😃
I tried it. My phone freezed and I had to take battery out to reset it.
Smartanswer is a good program, but to complex for me. I only need answering machine and Call Manager do it well.
Also Call Manager shows in a simple way names of callers without surfing inside.
I do not care menu, or icons.
Anyway, this is only my opinion.

Well,just beacuse of the fact i have never seen you here.
Like i said,Psiloc and SymbianWare developers are here 24/7 and many of their app improvements and bug fixes are based on user posts in this forum.
Its a good thing that you decided yo join because you can get very good user feedback here which will be good for both of us (Users and Developers)
I'm not saying anything bad about CallManager,if you have read some other posts about SmartAnswer and CallManager you will see that i sugested that people try them both and then decide which one to buy.

not a single reply from vWare after that one post. no wonder some people think they dont drop by, as oppose to SymbianWare, Psiloc, and Ximplify, you see them often and reply to posts which relate to them. to vWare and all developers who wish to make more ass kicking apps, AAS is the place to be. here you'll get very intelligible feedback (at times brutally frank) about your apps which will be beneficial rather than anything else. hope to see more of you here, vWare.

We will try to follow this NG as much as possible (We are trying to read as much sources of information as possible).
About our software and our concurrent, we absolutely agree with the need to install and try both of them to decide which to buy. I am sure they are both good softwares.
Our target is to develop interesting application that works well.
And, if we are lucky, that nobody else has developed yet!

just suggestion:
when Smart answer icon is on, then nokia battery charge indicator is covered completely. seems to be quite inconvenient to monitor battery status if one cares. is there any way to make Smart answer icon a little bit smaller so i can see battery status as well. TIA.

In latest and greatest version that is fixed!! I must say! This Program is SUPERB!!!! I dont understand why there is controvosey as to whats best... this is by A LONG shot the best answer phone app... also has a built in file browser 😊 ...Space ssaving excellent design! I must say WELL DONE to sAnswer60!

just tried the smartanswer, but there's this question - when playing back messages, i notice that it's only out on speaker phone.
is there any setting or anything else, that enables you to listen to messages in private? (without speaker)
