A yellow arrow has come up in the top right when I open up anything (Contact, messages, apps etc) was just wondering if anyone knows what it is, its really annoying!ha, thanks.

Sounds like a divert icon.
I had one which I could not get rid of until I got a sim update.

Would I just have to ring up Orange to get one of those?
Delete any messages in your inbox then call 150 and get them to send you a sim update.
After you get the update restart your phone and the arrow should be gone.
I have no messages at all, not even the templates, as I thought it might be something to do with that.

It may just be a missed call icon, look at your missed calls list and see if it goes.

Arrow pointing up or to the side?
An "up-pointing" arrow could be unsent outgoing message (e.g. message in outbox).
I had this problem!
It's a divert that refuses to be cleared by the phone commands!
Call your customer services and ask for all diverts to be disabled. They will do it from the network end and then all should be well!
