I have been checking the updater every few days but it keeps saying my V11 is the current firmware available. I know I could upgrade to an unbranded firmware but dont fancy messing with the phone.
If did upgrade to V12 unbranded. that would mean I would lose my web'n'walk facility and such, plus I would lose my warranty is that correct?

You lose the web and walk purple icon but get a globe icon instead that says web.
Yes you would make the warranty void but it would be a remote chance any engineers would check the software number if your phone developed a fault.
V12 doesent offer much new apart from AGPS and quicker displaying photos for me really. But i took the plunge and upgraded to v12 and not looked back.
I am on T mobile, I rebranded to Euro 1 and updated to V.12 a couple of weeks ago. I just saved the web,n,walk page as a bookmark and still use it ok.
Thanks guys, Does V12 fix any crashing bugs? I often have my phone freeze up on me, And for some reason whenever I turn my phone off. It will not turn back on, you have to remove the battery, then plug it into a charger for the charge screen to come on. Then it'll fire up - pretty stupid bug especially if you cant get access to a charger and the phone freezes 😞

I had a T-Mobile handset and also thought it was just the Web N Walk icon there seem to be other differences as well. As for debranding it all sound far more complex then it is. If you can download a program and install it within 20 mins your phone will be debranded and able to get the latest firmware. You can always change the code back in under 5mins, am running V12 on Euro1 now and so far all good.

Took the plunge and did it! Im glad I did as it seems to have sorted the restarting problem I was having - Which is a good thing!
Was also a good excuse to get rid of all the rubbish on the phone.
No complaints so far, a few times it restarted itself and a few times when it restarted itself it gets stuck on the Nokia screen, But still better than it was.
This A-GPS function, how exactly does it work I thought I might have to do something for it to work but cannot find any options for it. Does it auto upate as soon as I turn on nokia maps?
