Another side of the N76 story - what about all that RAM?

Ricky's also been busy over at his Symbian Guru blog, pondering on why the otherwise lowly N76 should have over 40MB of free RAM while the top end N95 has to make do with half that. Some good comments on this post too, so read on down...

Read on in the full article.

And it's worth noting again, if you're hankering after more RAM but don't want the chrome-afflicted N76, that the Nokia E90 has a stonking 80MB of free RAM - Ewan assures me that his next E90 article will be more positive, I'm hoping the performance of this flagship will get a good mention!

If I could get my hands on a review unit, I'd be sure to put the E90 through its paces, as well. 😊

Is the chrome peeling thing random?

I have a friend who has a N76 and 3 weeks since she owned it it is still squeaky clean. My local Vodafone has a non working N76 on display and after a month it still looks brand new. And I have seen plenty of people touching it...

It may be possible that the chrome peeling is factory related. Nokia does own a couple of factories.

And 40MB free RAM on boot! Wonderful. I am planning to replace my N80 for the N81 but only if it has more than stinking 18MB free RAM and faster processor.
