I'm considering buying IM+ V2, TIPIC's great but it eats more KB's (Or so i've been told) whilst online. Tipic's also been a bit unreliable of late.
So, here's my problem. If I buy IM+ 2 do I still need a registration key after downloading the app? At $28 I dont want to have to buy it again if my 7650 gets replaced by the NSC next week (i'm taking it there because of 4 or 5 faults have developed).
Any ideas?
You do need a registration key for IM+. I bet though, that if you got a new phone because your old one broke that Shape Services would be happy enough to send you a new serial number. They've always been very helpful to me. Why not drop them an email, and ask?
Andy
Good idea. (DOH!) Thanks, will do.
I take it you're using IM+?
If you get a message whilst on the main screen, (IE: the Phone app) is there any form of visual indication that you've got a message waiting back in IM+?
Yup, I use IM+, and it is very good. The one thing that it is missing is a popup (like on wireless IRC) that tells you that someone has sent you a message if you are on the phone application. It does play a sound when a message arrives (which can be turned off), but the sound that ships with it is pretty awful, and I ended up changing it with seleQ. In IM+, the little icons on your buddy list change to an orange envelope if you have an unread message, or a brown envelope to signify that you've read all of the messages from that person. They also change according to your buddy's status.
Oh, and it works a treat throug my bluetooth connection!
Hope this helps
Andy
Thank you,
Thats good news about the bluetooth! So I can be online around the house?! Excellent. 😃
Looking at the forums it would appear you can use IM+ with a bluetooth connection to a PC that is online. So use the internet connection of the PC to get online. Hence no large mobile phone bills!!
Is this the case and if so how do you do it? 😞
Thanks

There's a lot of information on this forum detailing how to do this, here is one thread that has pulled togeather most of the information:

If it doesn't answer any specific questions try the search tool at the top of the page.
Good luck

How can I delete incoming message in IM+? I mean if I get message from someone and next and next and so on, then I must always go through all messages that has this user sent to me in this session. Can I somehow delete incoming message after I read it?

I dont think you can delete the messages, however, if you move the joystick to the left, once you've clicked on the person who has sent you the message, you go through the messages backwards, so you get the newest one first.
A.
to remove message, press key "C"
