I did a big mistake to upgrade to the new Nokia maps version, the functions is not easy to access as in the previous one, part of the maps not showing now (Canada) although I delete the maps and download a new one, navigation system is bad, before while I'm driving, I select a point from landmark or the map to make navigation to, it was working fast before , with a new version it take forever and can't find a route, I'm talking here about a route which I use it everyday, so be careful before thinking even to make this upgrdae

I agree with you. Calculating routes seems much slower. You can also no longer toggle between 2D and 3D using the '0' key.
Has anybody installed on firmware v11? Does it work OK? Although reading the above I don't know if I can be bothered anyway.

Got mine running on firmware v11 and it seems pretty good.
Runs very smooth on a 6110N.
Which is something I want to ask. After I installed it, I went to an option, cant remember what it was, and it came up with where I was. The map centered right on me.
Now, I hadnt activated the GPS (it doesnt work in my flat anyway), and had only just started using it. So presumably it got this data from somewhere. My best guess it the GPS recievers last position when it shutdown.
Odd nonetheless.
Ah, its got all my contacts/landmarks from route66 on there. It obviously takes info from there.
However the address finding is really really crap. It couldnt find mine, no matter what I put in, and it doesnt do full postcode search. Not good when the address finding thing isnt up to par.
I know its free, but not impressed. I cant see it replacing commercial satnav stuff for a time yet.
didn't find any positive feedback which tell me that I'm wrong , so I shouldn't do that upgrade , now it is time to backup and do hardreset :redface:
