what's that butoon above the 5 and the 6 for, never seen it on another phone
it is the "MENU" button!

the quality of the picture is amazing, and the clarity of the video is spot on. Enjoy the phone LADS. The extra memory sticks are a bit pricy @ 55 for 16mb, which means another 350 night time photos, or 150 short videos RAHHHHHHHH

Been playing with my new 3650.
Great purchase!
Pictures are SPOT ON - much clearer and sharper, no corner bluring or barel effect.
This is an indoor pic taken under a dull lightbulb, I would not even bother attempting a pic like this with 7650.

First attemp at attaching so hope it comes out..

Not sure what (if any) MMC card will be included with the official release of the 3650 - but my Chinese / flashed english 3650 came with 16mb card!!
Which is nice!!
I still have my 7650 at work - I'll take some direct comparision shots tomorrow, for those who need convincing, I'm even getting a bit of a speed demon on the dodgey keypad!!!

For those who need convincing - pix taken on a cold, dark, rainy, British Afternoon.
In daylight they are even better!

I think the 7650 pics are taken on low quality setting, as the file sizes are approx 25KB while the 3650 ones are much larger file sizes.

I don't think they are low. I read on the 3650.net forum that the pics taken with 3650 take much more space than pics taken with 7650 even when they are both on the same quality. That is one of the reasons that the 3650 takes better pics.

Hi.

The settings were exactly the same for BOTH phones.
3650 does make bigger file sizes.

About the same size as if you were to use 'photograper' on the 7650 - but 3650 still beats 7650 and 'photographer'

😮)

If you look at the 7650 picture meta data, you can see its shot
with mode 1 which is the best quality.
And the phone firmware is 3.12 😃

Dont know about the 3650 pic as it does not have metadata intact.

WOW!
I never new a picture gave so much away!!!
Wonder why 3650 does not have the metadata - something to do with the Firmware being beta I guess.

Maybe.
Or if the picture is loaded to photoshop or other program and saved, it loses all the metadata information.

Or if the picture is loaded to photoshop or other program and saved, it loses all the metadata information.

You wanna say this is fake? 😃

Nope, just saying that the metadata gets lost that way.
Been checking other posted 3650 pics and those too dont have metadata. 😞
Hopefully those will come back with official firmware.
Havent looked at P800 pics yet...

These pix are not faked - cheek!
It's a genuine comparison - straight from the phone to the forum - no tweeks in photoshop.

But when they ARE tweeked in photoshop, beleive me - they can look even better.
They are good enough to print out on photo paper (I use 4x3 and set the image DPI to 144)

Also good enough to compile onto CD using 'DVD-Pictureshow' and playing back on my DVD player onto the television. Wife is VERY impressed - lots of brownie points for me (and it justifies getting my new toy!)

Best

Will 😊

what do you mean by looking at the phones metadata to get more infor on the phone?

No, not phone, but the picture contains metadata information, which the camera software places there.
You can see those with good picture viewer like ACDsee or XnView

In XnView select a picture, select properties and look in Comment field
You can find this info there usually:
Nokia Mobile Phones Ltd.
Nokia7650
12/02/2003
12:20:29
Mode=1
3.12
1.2

But you usually lose that info if you open the picture with some program
and save it again. And looks like the 3650 doesnt attach any info in the
pictures. Only in 7650 at the moment.

:fadein:
those pics look about the same as we got here. The pop port cam is somewhere inbetween but closer to the 7650 in sharpness.
As a note to the guy about dogs - Lindy Chamberlane.
The camera hardware does apear to be different on the 3650 and I'm interested in the 7250 ( had a 7210 and pop port cam but took it back as the phone seemed to be faulty and the cam was crap to use ) as the 36 battery life is a bit sad and the size is annoying after a t68 and 8250.
Any blue tooth experts out there? is the no audio thing a hardware or software issue on the chinese handsets? I'll ask nokia when I see one of the lads next but for now anyone know?
