message from o2!!!

it costs 50p/min or a 2 week wait for an email reply just to get this kind of sh*te from O2......which is why I dumped them after 2 years loyalty (ex genie).

They are a clueless bunch of morons, I had MMS+GPRS working on my 7650 before I got rid of them, although don't ask me what the settings were as I can't remember. This is also the same flock of propellorheads that told me that all new sim cards from them are branded BT Cellnet!!! Despite the fact that I was holding an o2 branded sim while they were telling me this!! Dickh3ads.

When will o2 learn that no matter how cheap/great their tariffs are, it will never make up for lack of staff training.

Do yourself a favour and port your number to another operator.

oh..... I feel a bit better now!!! 😊

They cannot offer GPRS Web and MMS on the same account.
MMS uses the GPRS WAP profile. They can offer GPRS WAP & MMS together.

They are working on a fix, the only thign is, I know three people who have GPRS WEB & MMS on their O2 accounts. They are just making excuses against those on low price plans or those they expect to have high MMS usage. Once the free offer is over next week, regular service will resume.

I left O2 this week for this very reason.

I am just throwing an idea about, but it could be down to billing.

They may not be able to tell the difference between the different types of data, so you could possibly send as much Web data for the 40p single MMS charge / or visa versa you may be able to send pictures at a reduced rate (included in your allowance).

Just thinking.

Bob :-?

Their billing system can differentiate between the two. 😞

Having said that, their GPRS rates are very low, and with NowMMS you can send MMS using the GPRS or even dial up WAP portal. Would save you a few bob!
