The long awaited Sony Ericsson W960i is finally trickling to reviewers. AAS is expecting one next week and in the meantime the guys at IntoMobile have also got their hands on one, pronouncing it a great device for anyone already used to UIQ 3's interface.

Still...you guys did not report on anything that happened on the recent UIQ Fastrack (intomobile did), you did not mention the recent news on Opera Mobile 9 (to be featured on the UIQ platform), did not mention the new P1 firmware when it was launched (November), etc
Seriously, despite obvious and understandable predominance of s60 on any symbian news site, and lack of action from UIQ itself, Nokia and Motorola, you are letting down UIQ too much...i would expect at least that when something meaningfull happens, that it would be featured here
Instead of criticising us, why don't you help out by *telling* us when something newsworthy has happened in the UIQ world? Sony Ericsson and Motorola seem complete incapable of handling the simple task of publicising things happening in their smartphone worlds, so every bit of help we can get from users is always appreciated.
And Asri's a big UIQ 3 fan, as you know. Anyway, Ewan'll be reviewing the W960 in detail over the Christmas period.
Most tech companies are probably as bad at doing PR mind you, it's just that Nokia and Apple are so insanely good, they put the rest utterly to shame!
Well...i did not know it was us up to us UIQ users to remind of you of such things...i did that once about a P990 firmware release, but i expected someone on the AAS staff to go through blogs and forums and other news site to gather info...i think you can�t use only Asri for that...he his doing his best
I might send you some emails about things like a firmware release, but you have to agree stuff like news on Opera Mobile 9 coming to UIQ or what was discussed on the latest UIQ Fastrack should be covered by YOU and not the users...unless this is not a Symbian site anymore, and just s60
My suggestion: put someone else covering UIQ, not just Asri (and no, i am not offering myself...i will send you some pm�s with info though, when i think it should be featured)
Back to topic, regarding the W960 and intomobile review, i�d like to say that, as someone said in the coments to the review, saying the W960 is great for one used to UIQ, is like saying the N95 is great for someone used to s60...i hear some people saying UIQ3 is too complicated, but its obvious why they say it...they used s60 or whatever all their lifes! The other day, i had the cance to play with a n95 for some time, and then a E65...and also with my brother�s N73 - well, guess what...i find s60 v3 "complicated"
