Sky Remote Record s60 3rd edition

dont seem to be able to find the sis file... or intercept it to get it for you...

I did have a copy sometwhere...

I do have a sky anytime app installed on my N82, is this the remote record app, I have tried putting my username and password in it, but then it fails to connect to the server. 😡

Exact message says..........

connecting to network.................
connecting to server....................

LOGIN FAILED

unable to find server. please confirm you have selected the correct access point

this is not a problem with my connection

Im getting the same message when I try and connect too at the moment.

It works fine on my N82.

just tried to connect and it just sits saying connecting for a while then times out.

Having similar problems connecting with my N95 - i attributed this to my having updated the firmware recently.

However, despite a complete update of all my web access settings it would appear that the fault may lie at the Sky end if lots of us are getting the same error message.

Anyone managed to get any progress with this problem yet?

Weird. I used the application about a week ago and it worked fine. Updated my N95's firmware, reinstalled the application from the Sky website, try to login today and it just times out. Same error as the rest of you here.

Same problem for me. Anyone with the old firmware who can see if its still working for them? That way we may know if its a "feature" of the new firmware.

It's defo Sky's end as I've had it working on the latest fw.

Agreed. This is a Sky problem as I only recently used it to record the Dr Who special.

why dont you go to the sky site, as thats what everyone else will have done.

Even if your phone is not listed as working, you can get the version for N95 link sent to your phone by sky free.

Point your phone's web browser at this link...

Hey presto, it will automatically offer you the correct version for your handset.

so long as your mobile is supported by sky.

If it isnt , you dont get it.

Or at least, if sky thinks it isnt... you dont get it.

Yes, having to use the Java based version until they sorted themselves out with an S60 3rd Ed. version was a pain 😉
