Hey all,
as most of you know my dear 7650 is dead. all i need is to flash it but
i can't (discussed in my last topic).
My father has 7650 that have inssurence and all...
can i take the "brain" of my dad's 7650 and put it in mine?
i don't care to give it to a lab that fixes electronic device and they will do it.
just tell me if it's possible...
and btw, i need the imei's stay the same.
Thx,
Gideon
You can swap the PCB of each phone but it'll be a bit pointless. You'll simply have your father's phone in the casing of yours. The IMEI numbers wont match. You cannot change the IMEI of either phone as this is illegal.
Then again, if your phone is completley shot through, there'd be no way of the insurance company knowing that the programed IMEI wasnt the same as the one printed on the housing.... WINK WINK. But you might get yourself into some serious trouble... :-?
It should be possible. You would need a flash and the 7650 flash file. You could retain your old IMEI, check your IMEI on the box of your phone.
Kobe, encouraging illegal practices eh? tsk tsk... 😃
well..
i had 3.12 SW and i filled the memory.
all i need is to go to NSC and they will flash it.
BUT
i can't go the nsc because my phone has bluetooth and that's illegel in israel.
i wont buy a flasher.
thx,
Gideon
Isn't there a way around that problem? Search the forum, im sure you can still format the phone without going to a NSC 😃
huh blue tooth illegal iin isreal? why?
The israeli army uses the bluetooth frequencies for their radio. if u fill the memory in 3.12... Can the nsc find out the phone IMEI? (I DONT MEAN WITH THE STICKER..).

No I am not. I am just saying that it's possible. If you buy your own gadgets, don't you have the right to do anything about it? As long as you don't make it commercial? It's yours, you paid for it, and you ain't sharin it.
If your replaced a steering wheel of your car with a new one, is it illegal? 😃
Hard reset from the phone boooy!, thats what i'm talking about.

(b'emet??) Is that true? Do they disable the bt on the phones when they're sold in israel? How can they stop people using it?

Woah! I was only playing buddy! 😃
BTW, my point was and is that IMEI changing is illegal, changing the steering wheel of a car isnt! 😃
To Giz'on:
Here's somethign which might help, its taken from one of GhostDog's posts:
Try *#7370#
If it works,it will probably delete all data on the device.
If you try this make sure the phone has a lot of battery power or has the charger pluged in.
